Shopping small businesses has always been important to me, as evidenced in years past by our Shop Small gift guides (yes, we'll probably have another one coming soon!). But this year, I wanted to take things one step further by highlighting a few of our favorite Seattle stores to share with you this year! This post will kick off what I hope will become a more regular highlight of shops, restaurants, cafes and more in Seattle. This city has so much to offer, and I want to share all my happy little neighborhood pockets with you. Until then - here are three favorites!

When I'm looking for clean, modern style I go to Stock & Pantry where owner Sasha Clark has nailed that pared-back, Scandinavian style. I love her assortment of beautiful books, linen pillows, artwork, and - of course - luxe kitchen wares.
While you're there: Support some other local businesses like Homestead for new and vintage homewares and Glasswing for a beautiful selection of fashion, home, and plants! Grab dinner at Sitka & Spruce, Mamnoon, or Stateside.

A charming little space in Ballard, Anders is curated with local and sustainable goodies. A mix of home, beauty, and accessories, you'll find a little of everything here! Founder, Sally Honeycutt, seems to be always adding fun new items to the mix. Be sure to get on their mailing list for events and workshops too!

If Nancy Meyers designed your neighborhood mom 'n pop mercantile on Nantucket, it would look something like this. So it's no surprise that the original Salt House Mercantile was born on Bainbridge Island - just a quick, idyllic ferry ride away from downtown Seattle. But if a little travel isn't in the plans for your shopping agenda, you're in luck. Their sister store resides in Madison Valley (alongside a few of my other favorite shops, I might add). I never leave here without some little treasure for my home or pantry.
While you're there: This lucky little street is lined with more of my favorite stores including Red Ticking, Maison Luxe, and Marine Area 7. Cafe Flora offers a delicious bite for vegetarians, and Bar Cantinetta is a little Italian gem for a bite or wine.
