I don't know about you, but one of the first things I did when the temps finallys started rising around here was grab a bottle of rosé and my girlfriends to celebrate the sunshine!! Which made me think - why not make this official?
With a little inspiration from the shopping aisles at Tuesday Morning, I pulled together some fun decor, gift baskets and entertaining supplies for a super easy Garden Party & Rosé Tasting in our studio!
It all started with this chic bar set up that I found at Tuesday Morning. We'd actually been looking for a while for something simple to fill this little nook in our studio, and the clean lines and black and white were perfect! (Plus, ahem, it was $60 - such a steal!)
I'd been wanting to do a floral garland DIY in this nook since day one, and with the affordable faux flowers I found at the store, I could buy in abundance! A lot of floral wire and fishing line, and voila - we created a little garden moment in our urban oasis. If you're doing this at home, you could recreate this around a mirror, a mantel, or doorway!
With our office being so fresh, but also pretty minimalist, I thought it would be good to keep things simple with the rest of the decor. For weekday entertaining, who has time to put together the perfect charcuterie board? Instead, I filled bowls that suited our garden theme with easy snacks and set them around the table. My favorite are those cabbage bowls - I've always loved them! And of course, the perfect napkins for the occasion - Rosé All Day! I added a bunch of fresh tulips in happy colors from my local grocery store, and we were all set.
While shopping for the party, I knew I wanted to get notebooks for everyone to write down their tasting notes in, but then I kept finding more goodies that would be so perfect for gifts that I ended up making a whole basket! The lotion especially was such a good find - it's one of my favorite and usually runs around $26. This bottle was $7.99 and the entire basket only cost me $15 to fill!!! I even found these perfect wood garden markers to write everyone's name on. So cute!
I asked each girlfriend to bring a bottle of rosé under $20. In other words: your go-to rosé for summer! We've all got one, right?
Once everyone arrived, we put the rosé in simple brown bags, and numbered them. Then, the tasting began! The girls used their gifts to take notes on each pour, but of course we loved them all - ha!
The best part of this party was how easy it was to pull together. I can definitely be a perfectionist when it comes to setting a serious dinner table, but entertaining on that level isn't realistic all the time. Throwing a party like this is way more fun! Because, let's be honest, it's all about getting your favorite people together and having a good time, right?
I loved how easily all the elements pulled together, too! Pro tip: when shopping for a party, it's easiest to find a color palette and stick with it. That's what I did, and it helped me to make decisions easier and faster. Obviously for a rosé party, it was all about shades of pink!
This little gathering was the perfect way to celebrate the arrival of spring and sunshine last week! Plus, now I have a few more go-to rosés to choose from, as well as a new go-to place to shop for entertaining!
