Room Of The Week :: A Serene Seattle Condo
It's been far too long since I featured an interior by my friend Brian Paquette who happens to design some pretty dreamy spaces. Case in point: This serene Seattle Condo filled with warm woods and neutrals which, you all know by now, is my favorite winning combo.
I may have lost my mind for a second when I first saw this shot pop up on Brian's instagram. I immediately hopped over to his site for more, because - obviously - I needed MORE.
Please note the water view through those windows. Jealous!
What impressed me the most about this interior was not just the design but the ability to make this simple condo feel elevated, warm, sophisticated and cohesive. Small spaces are tough. Layouts are harder, the palette needs to all work together, and spaces need to feel like the flow but also like they are their own moment. Dividers, like this wood piece that acts as a sofa table and dining console are essential.
The details in texture and of course high quality custom pieces will always make a room feel more special. And never are they more essential than in a modern blank slate of a room.
The dining area is my favorite. I love the shape of those black chairs paired with that sculptural table and statement lighting. Those pieces alone are a statement. All together, they are stunning. Anchoring the space with a more traditional rug and antique gold mirror helps it feel balanced. Oh, and the curtains. Literally every condo client I have ever had, I try to convince to do these types of curtains. Dreamy, floaty sheers that cocoon you in and still let in the light.
Spaces like these make me seriously miss city living. Honestly, if you furnish it well, a small condo is all I really need. Especially with that view! The calm cohesiveness of this space really calls to me.
I am loving those dining room chairs!!! Any idea what kind of wood the floors are?? I am loving it!!
No idea Maria, sorry!! But it’s a beautiful tone, isn’t it?
What a gorgeous space! I love Brian’s style and that sofa table/dining console is such a smart way to divide the space and make that piece multi-functional. Love it!
I truly love the feel of this condo… I am hoping that I will be able to use some of these accent pieces when I decorate my home! Do you think this will transfer well in a ranch home?
I think this would absolutely transfer well to a ranch home! It’s not overly modern, just updated and still warm. I bet using this style would translate perfectly!
Great I am so excited to start this process!!
Love the dining chairs. Would you mind sharing buying info? Thank you!
Hi!
I love this condo style!
Would you know where does the sofa come from? Could you ask your friend Brian Paquette?
Thank you!
