This room (well two rooms really) has given me a whole new set of inspiration for my own home. But to get it there, I'd have to really up my pattern mixing game!
This vestibule from last year's Holiday House in Atlanta was created by the insanely creative duo at Cloth & Kind - Tami Ramsay and Krista Nye Schwartz. The accessories - down to the very last detail - are perfection, the lamp being my favorite. I love that there is just a hint of glamour mixed in with the addition of that insane chandelier, and the dark floral prints too.
I am OBSESSED with the wall covering here (from Zak + Fox) and the way it plays with the rug. Here's a gorgeous detail shot ... they even trimmed the stairs!
Just past this landing is another stunning room from the design duo:
A huge space with so much possibility can be overwhelming, even to the most seasoned designer. It can also be a playground for living out some serious design fantasies - like having a space large enough for mirrored seating areas and a huge entry table. You have to see those stools up close...
I really love the subtle touches of purple. It livens things up just enough. The classically styled furniture feels at once old world and modern with with the Zak + Fox upholstery and window coverings.
Again, such a fantastic mix of textiles, patterns and texture, and so much attention to detail - like the trim on that banquette! With all this fabulous seating, I would be throwing cocktail parties every weekend! So it's a good thing there's also a bar...
What do you think? Too much pattern for you? Not your style? Or right up your alley? For me, this type of space is the perfect fusion of a worn, artisanal accessories paired with timeless style and a touch of glamour. Complete and total perfection.
