Labor Day always signifies the end of Summer... and while I'm certainly hoping we still have a few weeks of sunshine left, who can pass up a parting-of-seasons party?
So, rather than throwing the typical BBQ this weekend, why not try one of these inspired themes instead!? From playful, to glamorous, to campy, one of these should suit your long weekend style just fine...
Because we all need an excuse for more chips & guac in our life, right? But seriously, how cute are those balloons? Put together youw own taco bar and take a cue from the gals at Studio DIY to create the easiest centerpieces ever - cacti planted in salsa cans!
If you're too young to know the movie reference, know this: More is more and oysters are better than hot dogs, so do up your nautical decor to the max, and check out this Bon Voyage to Summer party we created last year!
Palm prints, bright colors, tiki torches, mai tais... what's not to love about a tiki party!? So, this one from 100 Layer Cake just happens to be for a bride, but it also happens to be one of the best ones I've ever seen! Super mod and fun, with plenty of details to copy!
I love this idea (from eye swoon) for putting a big yard to good use! Creating the low tables might be the hardest part, but honestly, a few pieces of plywood, some cinderblocks, and a long runner of craft paper, and you're set! Ask friends to bring pillows and throw down some affordable Ikea rugs, then settle in for a long evening on the lawn...
Or, in this case, Glampy - hence the gilded mason jars (nice touch, right?). Our own camping trip got smoked out this year by the fires we've had around Washington, so I'm kind of thinking about surprising my dude with something along the lines of this set up. I love the tent over the food, or could be a cool entryway at the fence too!
