Crushing On :: Caroline Kaufman

Lately, I can't seem to get enough inspiration from people who aren't taking themselves too seriously. Those who are adding a true shot of personality into their designs - unapologetically - are the ones who are getting my attention these days. If I had to guess, I'd say Caroline Kaufman might be one of those people...

Her use of color is beautifully vibrant, and the backdrops to her spring collection straight out of an Anthropologie window, but it's that beetle print that first got my attention over to her site...

And then I saw the knits and almost died. They're like wearable forms of happy wall hangings... but even better.

I mean, sure they're a little crazy all together, but isn't it fun? Doesn't it look like what your wardrobe would look like if your kids dreamed it up? (And I do mean that in the best way possible). The whimsy is infectious!

But seriously. Those beetles...
