Room Of The Week :: 11.6
This week's room is one for the books. First of all, let's all applaud the use of the rubber tree plant instead of a fig tree!! (but seriously...). Secondly, I'll once again acknowledge that the architecture in the space plays a huge part in taking this fresh, cozy living room to a whole other level...
But really it's the warm neutral palette and the unique pieces that are creating a little moment of bliss for me. I love the library table and benches paired with modern sofa and chairs...
Because of the rustic-meets-urban loft nature of the space, I'm actually ok with the modern mix pieces in one room... kinda. I love (need!?) those huge leather floor cushions though - they help add a little warmth and lend a casual feel too. But the piece I'm crushing on the most in this room?
Giant. Blue. Egg. Chair. Yeah, we've all seen the return of those hanging woven ones, but this is a totally luxe take on that, and I think it's awesome. Plus, a great dose of color.
The designers of the space - Huniford Design Studio - also created this gorgeous kitchen...
It's so warm, I love it!!!

Such a gorgeous house, I love the enormous windows with all the natural light coming in! The big green plant is fantastic too!
You had me at books! And I’m with you; I’m absolutely loving the warm tones of the room that still has that industrial-cool feeling.
Thanks for sharing! I always love my daily dose of interior inspiration.

So beautiful! Where is that lighting fixture in the last photo from?

I am a huge fan of this home– Thanks for sharing!
A beautiful and liveable room, not too much clutter and plenty of books 🙂
yes! Where is that light from??
Just a thought…. Isn’t that egg chair actually classic brown leather? Just looking sort of blue on the picture…?
This is a great room! The leather mixed with the wood and the cream chairs is a nice combo.
I love the kitchen light and marble surfaces, these natural wood platters and bowls are gorgeous.
Hi Cassandra, the house looks so natural with the rustic looks and lots of natural light, entering through the windows. The library table is just too good; beautiful interior designing.
It’s indeed simple with an urban look and it’s really great! The space may be quite limited but it isn’t an issue at all because it was used to fullest. Each piece is just beautiful and functional – it’s just nice overall!
