House Tour :: A Little La In Nyc…
I should really know better than to try and leave my posts until the last minute when I'm traveling in New York! There are far too many distractions here that keep me off my laptop! So today's post is a quickie... but a goodie. Infusing two of my most favorite things together - a laid back west coast approach to design in a beautiful Manhattan apartment...
I totally love the modern furniture in such an old space, and how crafty the owner - Robert McKinley gets with using each little corner. Note the low side tables pushed together above, and the cornered seating below!
It makes all sorts of sense to lean towards low-profile mid-century style in a smaller space like those found all over New York City, and this Chelsea apartment really hits it out of the park in showcasing just how well it works. But I have to say, my favorite part might be this incredible pattern mix in the bedroom...
I mean... now I absolutely need banana leaf curtains in my life!

It is SO amazing how they made that tiny bedroom feel big. It’s genius!

Beautiful apartment! The banana leaf print is starting to grow on me.
This is a beautiful rug. I have been in search for kilim rugs for a long time. Finally found a great place to buy. I have purchased 3 from this store. They actually have a kilim rug very similar to the one above. I highly recommend this store.

Does anyone know where i can buy these banana leaf curtains?
Hi Nia! These curtains are most likely custom. You should be able to source this fabric and have them made! There are several etsy sellers who stock the fabric. Thanks!
Where is the couch from?
