Lofty Ambitions

After being in my new loft for almost a month now, I feel like I'm finally starting to wrap my head around the whole look I want to transition to in there. It's always interesting making old furniture fit into a new space, but that's definitely been a factor in putting some of the initial ideas together...

Since it's not super realistic for me to be replacing all my furniture at the moment, I've been concentrating my efforts more on some smaller accent pieces - everything from pillows and throws to side tables and chairs - and I'll be getting crafty with some of the larger pieces I own too! Here are a few of my current favorite finds so far...

The mix is modern + boho with a touch of that brass glamour that you know I can't resist. Campaign furniture - like this stunning tray table - always works well for me. I'm obsessed with this piece.  Touches of blue, green and mustard will fill the mostly neutral space.

I'm staying away from anything too graphic, and going with more organic prints, so the new 'Williamson' collection from Rebecca Atwood is on the top of my list - I love these tone-on-tone white and neutral pillows that will go all up and down the sofa for a more relaxed look.

Other essentials for the mix include marble, woven rattan, and - fingers crossed - some kind of Moroccan inspired rug.

What do you think of the direction so far? Any pieces you'd add, or things you're totally over?
