FEB MOODBOARD // THE LIGHT + THE DARK

february moodboard // coco kelley

Normally, my moodboard posts come at the beginning of the month, not when the month is nearly over. They are meant to set the tone for the coming weeks – the focus, the inspiration, the palette, the feel. But February being what it was, it’s fitting that this post come when the month has nearly wrapped […]

    I dont know the author but here is a quote for you…” Sometimes the best thing yiu can do is not think, not wonder, not imagine, not obsess. Just breathe, and have faith that everything will work out for the best.”

      That quote is so true especially when we are feeling conflicted inside. Sometimes doing nothing but calming ourselves and giving ourselves a little more time to deep breath a new path will open up.

REVIEW :: J.CREW FALL 2015 RTW

JCREW metallic bag

In the drabbest of months, we often struggle to infuse color into our wardrobe in a way that’s not too evocative of Spring.  Leave it to J Crew to solve this dilemma for AW15 with a rainbow of sumptuous textures and blingy options, all displayed yesterday morning at Mercedes Benz Fashion Week at Lincoln Center […]

5 WINTER STREET STYLE LOOKS TO TRY RIGHT NOW

short-sleeved-sweater-get-the-look-street-style-coco-kelley

I woke this morning in a total winter funk… typical for this time of year. Not that I can complain – the sun is shining today, and we haven’t had a drop of snow on the ground! But, I’m simply not a winter person. But – c’est la vie. We do have a few more months to get […]

      Thank you for such an awesome compliment! I’m not very good at motivating myself to get into a dress in the middle of winter, and I don’t expect most people are either – I like to keep things real and attainable! So I appreciate you noticing!!! xo

    I think I could really hop on the short sleeved sweater bandwagon! What I really need to work on is perfecting my layers. I have a bunch of coats, but they aren’t coats that I can wear on top of each other, so I need to work on that aspect of my wardrobe. For now, all I can afford to worry about is which items of clothing will keep me the warmest! I aspire to one day dress as well as these stylish women 😛 -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s

THREE WINTER COCKTAILS, ONE WHISKEY.

cocktails-three-ways_3

One of the greatest challenges of entertaining is coming up with a signature cocktail that appeases the pickiest of drinkers. Those who prefer something sweet and those who prefer something strong will likely never agree on just one drink. Which is why it’s much easier to pick one spirit and find different ways to serve it – […]

WINTER WREATH MAKING WORKSHOP

mckenzie powell wreath design class with coco kelley_1

If you’ve picked up the December issue of Real Simple, you may have seen a familiar name in there… (mine) referring to a little holiday tradition of foraging for items on winter hikes to add to our store bought wreath. Well, after spending a day with McKenzie Powell – a good friend of mine and […]

    What a pretty workshop, I really love that space, and think fondly about our time there with you. Happy Christmas and all the best in the New Year, I hope our paths cross in 2015 xx
