A WHIMSICAL WONDERLAND TABLETOP

a-whimsical-wonderland-table-coco-kelley4

It’s funny how holidays can evoke a certain mood from year to year. Last Christmas, I was in the mood for sophisticated, wintery glamour with a frosty, table of white, burgundy and gold. But this year? I’m all about joy in the form of color with this Christmas tabletop inspiration we created around these adorable bottle-brush trees in shades […]

I was just admiring those trees at Anthro! What a gorgeous table setting. There was a tutorial over on Beautiful Mess this week to DIY bottle brush trees. It was pretty cute…

Wow. Those are some pricey trees. There are a couple hundred dollars worth on that table. Seems like a terrible waste of money.

MY THANKSGIVING TABLE INSPIRATION…

winter-hygge-dinner-scout-blog-belathee-photography-aran-goyoaga-jenn-elliott-blake

Two things have providing inspiration for a simple, organic Thanksgiving table this year – and if you follow me on instagram, then you already know what one of them is! These bunches of cotton branches. And if you’ve been reading the blog, then you might recognize the other one from my November moodboard – black and white buffalo plaid. […]

What a beautiful table setting! Lovely color combination, simple and stylish. Perfect timing, too. I recently bought some cotton branches and just didn’t know what to do with them. You gave me perfect inspiration. Thank you!

    With Love, Monika

NOVEMBER MOODBOARD // 14

november-moodboard-coco-kelley

The problem with doing a November moodboard when your head is already in holiday mode is this… Clearly, my brain is starting to sway into reds and fresh winter whites already! Of course, the grey rain is lending a bit to this board as well… The cold snap we’re about to have is making me […]

I do like the black & white gingham. This year I used a blue & brown plaid runner for my table and then put a little pumpkin at each place setting. Doing something different really spiced up the table.

Your moodboards are always so inspiring. (I think they’re my favorite posts!) They make me think about the feel of the seasons differently, and this one especially has me rethinking November for the better. I’ll have to incorporate more black and grey into my holiday palette!

Callie, thank you so much for saying so! They’re my favorites too – I feel like they give me focus for the month ahead and I love the way they reveal where my design aesthetic and mood are at!

HALLOWEEN COCKTAIL :: THE SWAMP SPICE FLIP

the swamp spice flip cocktail recipe coco kelley2

Now, unless you’re actually hosting a Swamp-themed Halloween party like ours, you may not want to give such a delicious drink such an atrocious name. In this case, however, it fit quite nicely. But, if you’d like to give it a proper name, we’ll call it the Spiced Pear Flip… If you’re feeling so bold, you might […]

GET THE LOOK :: HEAD-TO-TOE GREY

the-the-look-head-to-toe-grey

First Birkenstocks, now endless layers of grey? Seattle sure seems to be right on trend these days, doesn’t it? But when you actually live in the grey (or with the guys who are still wearing socks with their birks) the trend doesn’t always seem quite as appealing. However – being a black-and-white girl myself, I happen to […]

I thought it was silly when I heard grey was going to be a huge fall trend, but now I’ve found my closet full of it. I ADORE that chunky grey knit in the second photo.
