JANUARY MOODBOARD //

Post-holiday winter is always a bit of a reality check, isn’t it? This is the time of year where I realize that while the holidays may be over, the cold weather is really just beginning. Which, for me, means now that the Christmas decor is all packed away, it’s time for a winter refresh of […]

    Hi Cassandra

What beautiful images you have shared today. We are enjoying Summer and all it’s wonder in Australia but on those really hot days such pics are very welcome and I am envious of the thought of you dressing in a coat and scarf. You have to love Winter for all it layering goodness. I am also hearting the gold frames and mirrors, such a pop of decadence and shine never goes astray. Bonne Annee’ – Shell A Darlings Nest

I love that you posted about this Cass, I just had the exact same experience! As soon as we de-adorned our house of the holidays, I had the urge to purge. I rearranged the furniture and wan to get rid of the coffee table, the bar stools – all non essentials… Maybe 2014 will be the year of minimalism… Nah ;)

A GLAMOROUS GOODBYE

mario photographie ardi sleeping beauty the untold stories 5

Have you ever had a really extravagant New Year’s Eve? I remember one year – many years back now – getting all dolled up for a black-tie party and having it be a total flop. Since then, I’ve stayed away from balls and glitz, and opted for small groups and house parties. I must admit, […]

I am overjoyed to be celebrating “East Coast NYE” in our hood with a great group of neighbors. Bubbly and sparklers at 9pm and then it’s lights out for me! However, if you’re planning a Red Carpet worthy bash next year I will begin resting up for it now!

Ahhhhhhh…. I miss dressing up on NYE…. this post is perfect! Tonight it is going to be an early dinner out with my hubby and then back home cozy by the fire…bubbly and watching the ball drop on Times Square….

Thanks Cassandra for a great year of inspiration! on to 2014!

Happy New Year to you and yours!

    Cheers!

HAVE YOURSELF A COZY, MERRY WEEK!

cozy winter christmas living room

There’s a strange thing that happens when, in October, you’re planning for Thanksgiving and Christmas shoots. In some ways, it makes the holidays seem as if they’ve already been here forever. And, in other ways, as if they’re just beginning as we finally get to detach from emails and deadlines, enjoy the company of family […]

That Apple commercial is certainly a tearjerker. Down here in the South, there’s a grocery store called Publix that also specializes in tear-worthy holiday ads. This year’s is pretty good, but look up the 2008 Publix Christmas ad on Youtube and prepare to just sob. (It involves a doctor who can’t make it home for Christmas.)

Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas!

For those of us that have good family’s we are truly fortunate. I too have been appreciating all those Christmas’ past but mine in Snohomish. I am missing my family incredibly right now and hard to not tear up at those darn holiday commercials.

Cheers to another great year and best wishes for continued success & happiness for 2014.

    Merry Christmas Cassandra!
