Happily Ever After!

coco%27s+board12

I can’t believe the wedding is over! Let’s take one last look at the original inspiration… And the final choices! Yes, after all that, I chose the Vera Wang dress… mostly because I know the mermaid fit will flatter me more than the Reem Acra (after all, it’s not a real wedding… yet!). I also [...]

The Final Touches…

tabletop+inspiration

It’s time for the last-minute details… The finishing touches on the decor: I think I’d like a mix of bouquets and herbs in the terra cotta pots. And lots and lots of candlelight, if nothing else. I’ll tuck rosemary (I just love the smell of it!) and an olive branch sprig into napkins tied off [...]

Wedding Guest #3: Kathryn from Snippet & Ink Throws a Rehearsal Dinner

lace+trim1

With a wedding that’s turning out to be a little bit country, I wanted a rehearsal dinner that was much more city. After all, a girl needs to feel a little glam, and the city is definitely more my style on a daily basis. So, I emailed Kathryn over at Snippet & Ink to ask [...]

this is… my favorite board so far! love the pristine eccentricity of it all… very avant-garde, I would love to see it turn into a themed party where guests come in coordinating attire or masks, or hats!

Contest Finalists: Round Two

cassandra+from+lake+orion+michigan

I promised I’d give you three boards every day… here are today’s! Cassandra from Lake Orion ~ Glamorous Green What I loved about Cassandra’s board (other than her name and the abundant use of green of course) was the fact that she took a very chic and glam room and kept it simple. She created [...]

    Beautiful boards!
Oh, and I should mention that I HAD sparklers at my wedding and it was a disaster. Everyone including my (then) husband and I (who were running through it all) were completely engulfed in acrid smoke. I don’t even think that it was that windy, but something about hot sparks and smoke just wasn’t exactly the romantic twinkly send-off I had envisioned. : )
    Just a little heads-up.

Bridesmaid Challenge: Lyndsy & Erin Bring It On

coco%27s+board11

So, here’s what I sent my two (very different) maids, Erin and Lyndsy… With no further instructions than, “You’re my bridesmaid ~ take this and run with it!” they both went for it and came out with two boards each uniquely them … with some surprising similarities! Lyndsy’s Board: Dress: Melissa Sweet Spring 2009 Collection [...]

that hair comb looks alot like my regina b hair comb that i wore for our wedding…i absolutely love the thing. it’s an investment for a hair comb, but well worth the price, especially since it will be something that is passed down to our kids.

I love them both. Those girls have style! The BM dresses are both really cute… and could be worn again *gasp*.

The nontraditional bouquet with the green leaves would seem to bring a nice pop of something like your Kelley Green into the mix without being overly obtrusive…

    (but I’m a little biased)

rauths ~ what a nice heirloom piece to have! and something that will never go out of style. so smart :)

anon1 ~ no big day set yet… more like a ‘someday’ at this point! but i couldn’t resist planning it all out now!

abbie ~ isn’t it amazing when a bridesmaid can ACTUALLY wear a dress again?

anon2 ~ i know what you mean and those magnolia leaves are fab… i was thinking a very pale green accent, but these might work too! i love the golden undersides of magnolia leaves :)
