A rosé wine tasting with yummy cheese pairings is set at a table adorned with garden roses and a simple, organic vibe. Celebrate the [...]

If you’re a bride-to-be or a stalker of fantastic wedding ideas (just waiting for that ring to land on your finger!), then you know that there are tons of websites and blogs out there to offer inspiration for your big day. I’ve found, though, that many of them can be challenging when trying to track [...]

WEDDING INSPIRATION: HIGH DRAMA

4516877458_74563a2bdd_o

All this talk of black+white the last few days reminded me of a wedding palette I had started on quite some time ago based on a post I did on the fabulously dramatic and unexpected combination of coral+black. I thought it was high time I finish the inspiration board and share it with you all!I [...]

    Coral is a major player!

I love it with the tiniest bit of turquoise too.

It is the center of the rainbow, so it can bridge every color, one to another.

Okey, has anyone noticed how insanely blue the grooms eyes are?!? Wow. Who needs turquiose when you have eyes like that?

This is actually a color scheme the boyfriend would love. He's even entertained the idea of all-black. But classy. haha

SWEET SLICES OF INSPIRATION

4386683138_58157a664b

I’ve always loved this editorial from Martha Stewart where bits of ribbon, paper and more are put together to create inspiration for wedding cakes! This first one is my favorite – black and white stripes, kelly greens and aqua blues – what’s not to love? Of course, I never like to take anything at face value, [...]

I love inspiration boards! I enjoy making them much more now that they're not for a college class- crazy time constraints and lack of sleep produced forced inspiration which was not so inspirational!!!

Loooooove the coral! Ever since your coral + black color inspiration post last year, I've been quietly obsessing over coral. I actually printed that post out in color and tacked it up inside my closet for inspiration.

NO WAY. Corals and pinks with warm browns and grays is my wedding color palette (well, with more pops of orange, actually). I hope you're doing well! LOVE the bedroom makeover. xoxo

And I always thought confetti to be so annoying. (You know, when you open an envelope and it falls into the very depths of your carpet.) That cake is fantastic though! Love seeing such a new, fun trend out there in wedding world.

I guess it's getting close to being wedding season. I'm amazed how many options and ideas there are for weddings now.

When I got married 14 long years ago things were still so traditional (even for someone like me who likes different or creative). If I had come out with a cake like this fabulous one people would have thought I was looped.

Love how everyone expresses their personal style now with weddings. But, I did absolutely love my day & all my flowers, dress, the works. Such fond memories.

    Thanks for sharing.

Tufting + Blue

If these aren’t the most fantastic slipcovers for an event, I don’t know what is. The faux tufting is killing me!And so are the draped walls and the chandelier. A truly genius little idea! And possibly a very ambitious DIY project for a willing bride (and her helpers). *photography via jennifer kloss

So simple and so gorgeous. I think the branches as centerpieces work beautifully — especially since they allow you to see everyone at the table. I've always thought it was so awkward to be dining with people whom you couldn't see through the enormous flower arrangements.

This is the craziest thing b/c I work here; a boutique hotel in San Francisco called CLIFT. This is our most popular banquet space, Spanish Suite, which is located on our 15th floor and has two terraces that overlook the skyline of SF. to learn more go to http://www.clifthotel.com

So, so lovely! I haven't ever seen a wedding in that scheme before – but I'd like to! That peacock/teal blue of the tablecloth in the last photo sent me to the moon. Swoon-a-licious. That's what this color combination reminds me of – peacocks! It's a good thing.

LOVE it!!! Great point that monochromatic layers of colors are introduced in "blocks" at different points throughout the wedding. I think sometimes brides get so caught up in their color scheme that they feel EVERY element must incorporate perfectly coordinated pieces of each color. Not so! Great post!!!
