SEQUIN STUNNERS

Way back at the beginning of September (seriously, where does the time go?) I was invited to the Sequin Jewelry Showroom here in Manhattan. Sequin does the runway jewels for many top fashion brands inducing Tadashi Shoji, Badgley Mischka, Ruffian and Houghton and as it was the height of Fashion Week – it was an exciting time to be in the showroom! Here’s a peek at their gorgeous jewels! These bright [...]

NYFW // MILLY

Hello readers – I’m back again with another NYFW re-cap (we’re almost done, I promise!) I adored the Milly Spring 2013 collection. It had a very sporty/surfer chic vibe and was full of very wearable neons and neutrals. There was also a lot of mesh involved - but is a very classy way, which was pleasantly surprising. Although there was nothing spectacular shown, the [...]

NYFW // ALICE + OLIVIA

The Alice + Olivia presentation felt like a party with a side of fashion. There was a DJ, bespoke cocktails, Magnum Ice Cream Bars and cake-pops (along with an assortment of celebs from Elisabeth Moss to Lauren Conrad to a Real Housewife or two…). As usual, Miss Bendet presented a colorful, quirky collection – with a very strong 1950s & 1960s influence – the models stood [...]

Alice & Olivia keeps getting better and better! One of my favorite brands for pretty, feminine go-out (and now work!) outfits. Thanks for posting :-) .

NYFW // REEM ACRA

8005167975_4bb6034b1e_o

Let me preface this post by saying this was one of may favorite shows of the entire week – my apologies if the post runs a little long… The show opened with a group of simple dresses, skirts and pants in kelly green, white and black – all with intricate laser cut details and paired with brightly colored pumps. Then [...]

Oh my God, these clothes are actually wearable! And beautiful!

What on earth was Ms. Acra thinking? Doesn’t she know that, if she wants to see her fashions published in Vogue or Bazaar, she’s supposed to make weird, ugly, uncomfortable looking stuff?

Well, good for her! I saw at least 6 pieces of hers I’d love to own. Sign me up!

Gee, I agree, I think “Bazaar” has become more bizarre than useful. franki
p.s. Note to “Bazaar” read “Coco & Kelley!”

NYFW // TIMO WEILAND

I’m going to be totally honest with you – before this Fashion Week I had no idea who Timo Weiland was, but when the invite arrived I took a peek at his site and feel in love. That love did nothing but grow at his runway show on Sunday night. He presented a VERY graphic collection - [...]

NYFW // TRACY REESE

My next stop on Day Three of Fashion Week was Tracy Reese. This was an exciting show because I actually had a seat! However – it was in the back row and the tallest man on the planet sat smack-dab in front of me – talk about fashion show drama!! I still managed to get some good shots to share, [...]

NYFW // DAY THREE (MALANDRINO!)

Day three of New York Fashion Week was a BUSY one for me (for those of you keeping track – I had to skip day 2 for a wedding!) I started out at the Catherine Malandrino presentation Sunday morning – she showed a gorgeous collection in a very springy palette of pale pink, mint and white with [...]
