PESKY HEIRLOOMS
One question I get asked a lot as an interior designer and blogger is, “How do I mix my family heirlooms in with my modern/classic decor?” The answer??Despite the many many rooms I have in my inspiration files exhibiting eclectic styles mixed and matched, it seems to be a challenge that in real life people [...]

I posted about the quirky things in this issue including the parrot cushion. I especially loved the ostrich wallpaper and the goat in the library! Too cool.
I loved so much in this issue especially the Nick Olsen apartment. Fab!

Love the play between traditional and contemporary with the parquetry floorboards and the black and white rug, can't wait to actually read the Mag.
LOVED! I think this issue was there best one yet! And your right, everyone is posting their favorite pics including me! AND that living room was def one of them!
Cassandra, I'm so happy you highlighted this piece from Lonny.
Although, I have to say this room, made me want to find a fireplace and paint it black: http://issuu.com/lonnymag/docs/lonnyissue4-hi/132
My favourite piece is the drawer chest below the television in the last picture. It looks like enlarged herringbone using mirror plates for the stripes. Lovely!
i agree! that wingback chair is to die for. I love love that teal color to offset the other pieces in the room!
Beautiful photos! I love the room in your last photo, I am in love with the traditional sofas, and the contrast with the side and center tables!!
What a coincidence! I just blogged about Michelle Adams' home and my favorites are exactly like yours: the chairs, the drapes and headboard. Love them!

I love that little vintage stool by the teal wingback. It's used as an accent table. Genius
Love Michelle's apartment, feels so fresh and young and sophisticated at the same time, love it!
I loved the turqoise seatee with the contrasting dark wall……….

lurved it!! esp michelle's space. although i thought the living room with the zig zag curtains looked a bit like a nursery. i still loved it though.
It's so difficult to find a favorite piece from this mag. They choose everything so well that I tend to love most of it =)
Have a nice week
The Houston spread did it for me the most, I am from Houston and have NEVER been in a house so fresh and funk, houses are beautiful around those parts but mostly in a staid southern way. The spreads in this issue were all…well…rawr.
All of the homes are always so amazing and perfect. Great inspiration, I need to relook and pull my favs as well.
Fabulous living room is right! I love it, Laura Day is amazing.
STRIPED CHAIRS all the way….
