HOME TOUR :: URBANE SOPHISTICATE IN SYDNEY

new traditional living room in sydney

Accessible interiors are so much the trend these days, that it’s become a bit more rare for me to feature the higher-end homes that I used to around here. Everything is white and scandinavian or ‘bohemian’ style, worn and collected. Rarely do I find a home that’s refined without being stuffy: that perfect mix of […]

What a treat!! Thank you for sharing this dream home……..all of my favorites are here……the monochromatic color scheme, contemporary art, and those black iron windows and doors, oh my! Seriously sophisticated!

Truly gorgeous. Reminds me of Nancy Braithwaite’s work. How does one achieve such a level of sophistication without formality per se, and use so much color and keep a calm look?

ROOM OF THE WEEK 6.4

main.original (40)

It’s time we got back to a little glamour around here with our Room of the Week, don’t you think? And between this chandelier and fireplace, you could do just about anything in this room and call it a winner… Now, I’m the first to admit that I love a mix of modern lines in […]

ROOM OF THE WEEK 1.14

I have a new obsession you guys. ATTICS. Remodeled attics to be exact. See, the home I’m moving into with my boyfriend has one that is completely unfinished… and ripe for dreaming! Someday (if all goes well and I still live there in another year), we’d love to renovate it and make it our master […]

That shower is amazing! And, ahem, moving in with the boyfriend? Big news! Apparently I’m a little behind on the blog-reading. 😉

Love everything about this space! To me, attics are a decorator’s dream…they have great light, wonderful angles and a coziness you just can’t find in any other room!
All the best in your new home:)

I absolutely LOVE an attic bathroom! I’ve got a friend in SF who’s bathtub in smack-dab in the middle of her attic bedroom and it’s fantastic (even has a skylight above it). Definitely a dreamy space :)

What great ideas for attic! We have similar attic that I’ve dreamed of doing something with. This certainly gives me something to think about. The white and gold combo are perfect for smaller spaces with angles . Love!!

ROOM OF THE WEEK 9.22

ken fulk living room masculine luxe giraffe head

I managed to get a bit behind on posts recently so I thought we’d kick off our Monday with a seriously inspiring space I had reserved for last week’s Room of the Week! A little wild, quite masculine and delightfully luxe, I have to say this living room belonging to Ken Fulk had me at… giraffe. The bit of […]

Love the whole look but I have to agree with Molly, that the taxidermy is not for me…however, it could be done faux style and still have the same effect. The windows are stunning and the design is simplistically elegant!

ROOM OF THE WEEK :: 3.6

London-Home-Colin-Radcliffe-01

I’m feeling extra glam and outrageous today, so let’s just get down to it with a whole house tour, shall we? I’ve been a bit obsessed with this particular shade of blue lately – in interiors and fashion – so I love this minimalist approach to its use that treats these chairs as the works […]

I agree, Inspirational! Love the bit of leopard in the bedroom. It’s not
often that minimalist and comfort are found in the same room. Great marble lamps and diggin’ that groovy coffee table too.
