ROOM OF THE WEEK :: 2.11

romantic dining room in pale peach and blue with gorgeous wood floors and dramatic chandelier via coco kelley3

I won’t lie, my friends. Today’s post took quite some time to come together. You would think that I just have a whole stack of Room of the Week ideas ready to go (and I do have quite a few) but the truth is, most of the time I take a look at them and … *yawn*. […]

Gorgeous! That rug and flooring are just too good. It took me a minute before I could even look at the rest of the room and see the lovely soft peach walls and architectural details. Great find!

How do you feel about the chandelier? I am renovating an apartment in the south of France, and the volumes are enormous–300-square-foot rooms, 12-foot ceilings. I am having trouble finding a chandeliers (I need 4) that fit the space. However, this style from the ’50s are more available. I think it’s awesome, but my husband (who’s European and thus has a different view of “old” than I do) says it looks like something from a grandma’s house. I’m looking for an unbiased opinion.

While I lean way toward modern, I think this room is brilliant! Love the mix of classics with the hip….lets talk about those pocket doors!

ROOM OF THE WEEK // 1.6

the cozy bedroom of homepolish founder noa santos with rich burgundy headboard, fur comforter, and lots of light and white - via coco+kelley7

The very first Room of the Week of the new year! I have a special place in my heart for this simple series as it’s been the longest running and still a favorite for myself and – it seems – for you! I hope this inaugural room for 2016 doesn’t disappoint! It’s certainly got me wishing […]

Great office view! The minimal-style table, side pillar, and natural light form the window view make this room great. The accents on the table (especially the iMac) are great; and I love the pillar with the planter, added a bit of green to the space.

    Great room!

HOME TOUR :: URBANE SOPHISTICATE IN SYDNEY

new traditional living room in sydney

Accessible interiors are so much the trend these days, that it’s become a bit more rare for me to feature the higher-end homes that I used to around here. Everything is white and scandinavian or ‘bohemian’ style, worn and collected. Rarely do I find a home that’s refined without being stuffy: that perfect mix of […]

Truly gorgeous. Reminds me of Nancy Braithwaite’s work. How does one achieve such a level of sophistication without formality per se, and use so much color and keep a calm look?
