a-modern-traditional-thanksgiving-with-skinnygirl-and-cocokelley4

What happens when you mix Scandinavian sensibilities with cozy cabin moments? The perfect Thanksgiving tabletop to show off a modern, yet traditional style, that’s what. And yet – it’ so much more than that. Stay with me here… See, when I think about my girlfriends, I see strong, forward-thinking women who can definitely hold their own. And yet… we’re all […]

RECIPE :: ROASTED SEASONAL VEGGIES + BLACK RICE

black rice recipe - image1

Happy November friends!! Can you believe the holidays are nearly here? This is the time of year I start going crazy on my pinterest board – hoarding entertaining ideas for fall and Thanksgiving (and holiday ideas too of course!) – which reminded me of this recipe we created last fall but had never shared here on coco+kelley. It’s colorful, […]

ART DIRECTION :: ALONE TIME

floodline no 2 by lisa golightly

Fall is here and I’m still in need of some restorative alone time after my summer travels. Preferably surrounded by the beautiful artwork of Portland based painter Lisa Golightly. I first learned about Lisa’s work from my friend The Jealous Curator. I love her figurative pieces inspired by photography and her moody abstract paintings like Floodline No. 2, which […]

Thank you for posting Lisa’s current moodier work. l fell in love with Lisa Golightly’s work decades ago and is my Pinteresy Art board favorite. It used to have a whimsical, vintage vibe. Her current work is darker, moodier and more sophisticated. Thank you for re-introducing me to her work. Love your blog. It is my morning favorite!

PRINT + PATTERN :: WAYS TO STYLE BUFFALO PLAID

print + pattern | via coco+kelley

Fall is finally here – the season of plaid and checks! I will never tire of trading out summer decor for the fall and winter seasons, and there’s something about a large, black and white buffalo check that feels contemporary, yet comfortable. I love its ability to blend into any aesthetic.  For example, paired with a vintage […]

‘Tis the season to start thinking about the holidays my dears! Whether we like it or not, November is just around the corner, and I don’t know about you, but I’ve been in cozying mode for a while now. I find scent to be such a big part of the holiday experience – baking pies, […]

love the idea of leaving jars of samples in the bathroom – genius! and as a new yorker with no fireplace in my current home (and likely, not one in my future home, either), i can’t get enough of woody, forest-y scents. YUM!

Oooh, I would love to try the Winter Forest scent. Just like you mentioned, “bathrooms, above all, should always have a candle or diffuser”. With two 7 year old sons and a husband I couldn’t agree more.

I already love L’Occitane’s lavender scent especially to hand lotion! I would love to try the candles and home fragrances as well.

My father only uses L’Occitane bath products because they are amazing and don’t smell too “girly”. I love all of their scents, but the Citrus verbana will always remind me of him.

My husband and I have been searching for a good, natural home scent that isn’t overwhelming. Welcome Home sounds like something we would both like.

The winter forest scent sounds perfect for a blustery day where all you want to do is cuddle up by the fireplace with a faux fur blanket and sip cider!

I would love the winter forest scent. Because I live in Oklahona, we don’t get a great winter. I’d love to enjoy this through the holidays.

I first became addicted to loccitane at the Santa Barbara four seasons biltmore, my happy place! Their Lemon verbena prompted me to start drinking that herbal tea flavor!

I think I would normally pick Welcome Home because I love citrusy sents, but Winter Forest sounds pretty perfect for November and December! Sometimes, you’ve gotta shake things up, right? :)

Love L’Occitane! Since it’s cozy we’re after, I gotta go for the Winter Forest, but Clos de Verveine would be my second favorite. Everything from there is heavenly. Thanks!

This might sound crazy…but, L’Occitane could bottle up farts and it would probably smell divine!

I LOVE EVERY SINGLE THING THEY MAKE!!

I would love Welcome Home!! :)

literally shopping for fall/winter candles/fragrances as we speak (type)! Favorites from L’Occitaine are the jasmine & bergamote candle and the lavender sachets.
