HAVE YOURSELF A COZY, MERRY WEEK!

cozy winter christmas living room

There’s a strange thing that happens when, in October, you’re planning for Thanksgiving and Christmas shoots. In some ways, it makes the holidays seem as if they’ve already been here forever. And, in other ways, as if they’re just beginning as we finally get to detach from emails and deadlines, enjoy the company of family […]

That Apple commercial is certainly a tearjerker. Down here in the South, there’s a grocery store called Publix that also specializes in tear-worthy holiday ads. This year’s is pretty good, but look up the 2008 Publix Christmas ad on Youtube and prepare to just sob. (It involves a doctor who can’t make it home for Christmas.)

Hope you and your family have a wonderful Christmas!

For those of us that have good family’s we are truly fortunate. I too have been appreciating all those Christmas’ past but mine in Snohomish. I am missing my family incredibly right now and hard to not tear up at those darn holiday commercials.

Cheers to another great year and best wishes for continued success & happiness for 2014.

    Merry Christmas Cassandra!

ICING ON THE TABLE

aerin lauder christmas tabletop

Apparently, this holiday season has me in the mood for icy, shimmering tabletops. Along with the tablescape I put together for my office, I’ve got a few more pieces of inspiration that are shaping my ideas for our family’s Christmas table… I’ve always loved this tabletop from Aerin Lauder’s home – the crystal dishes and […]

HOLIDAY COCKTAILS :: CHAMPAGNE ETOILE

The Etoile coco+kelley champagne cocktail recipe1

Last week we brought you a delicious whiskey and cider concoction as a part of our holiday cocktail series. But, for those who prefer a different kind of bubbly… we’ve come up with a second recipe to serve at your fabulous holiday events. The Champagne Etoile… Named after the beautiful china we used in our tabletop (and […]

This drink blends IMHO the most sublime flavours on the planet. It will be served at my house for a special birthday party very soon. Thanks for sharing such a delicious treat!

DIAMOND ORNAMENT DIY!

coco+kelley paper diamond ornaments DIY tutorial _1

I mentioned yesterday that we had put together two DIY ornaments for the tree this year, and this is our second one in the marbleized theme… While you could certainly do your own marbleized paper, we purchased ours from a paper store for time and consistency’s sake. Then we gathered up all the tools we needed […]

This would be a semi-fun project to do with the kids over their Christmas break. Not sure is let them hang it on my beautiful tree, but it would be neat to hang a bunch on my ceiling. Thanks for DIY!

LAST-MINUTE HOLIDAY TRIMMINGS!

coco+kelley holiday entertaining table and chandelier

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been so busy this holiday season that I’ve barely had time to decorate my home! The only tell-tale signs of Christmas’ fast approach is a tiny little tinsel tree and a tub of wrapping paper waiting for gifts. Last year’s quick solution to adding some extra holiday cheer […]

I always enjoy seeing what people do with their chandeliers (yours is beautiful, by the way) for the holidays. Along with ornaments, ribbons, tinsel, etc., I’ve definitely seen small arrangements of greenery adorning a chandelier this time of year, so you can definitely make it work on your fixture too!

Cassandra, that was so lovely! You made it look so easy yet so elegant. The easiest holiday decoration for me is our Christmas tree. Bought a live one this year from Home Depot.

I have greenery in my chandelier with pheasant feathers mingled throughout and it looks very “Ralph Lauren” :) I love the simplicity of the ribbons with bells on the blue chandelier–that’s just gorgeous!
