Double Your Dose

So, I’m still on the hunt for chairs for my home… a pair for the dining room, one for my desk, and (if I had my way) a comfy accent chair in the living room. Which means that you shouldn’t be surprised if you see a lot of posts on chairs in the next week or so… starting with this one.

In case you somehow missed this promotion, for the entire month of February Modern Dose is offering a double dose of their version of the Panton Chair. Stackable, modern, flowing and durable, you can’t go wrong with keeping these chairs around for extra seating indoors or out… and you can’t afford to NOT buy one because right now they’re buy one get one free!! Thank you Domino Deals! Now the only hard part is picking a color…

Room of the Week 2.14

Well, darlings, I’m heading to the magic land of Vegas this weekend for my friend Lyndsy’s Bachelorette Party, so in honor of the rockin’ ridiculousness that is Las Vegas, our ‘Room of the Week’ is the Hard Rock High Roller Suite created by the queen of hotel design Kelly Wearstler.

Welcome to your suite, you fabulous people you.

Fully stocked bar, anyone?

How about a little midnight bowling?

And when you’re ready to crash… some seriously lush accommodations await.

Have your own rockin’ weekend, and I’ll see you all on Tuesday!

V-Day D-Day

Well, I’ve been avoiding it all week… but Valentine’s Day is upon us, so let’s spread a little love! For those of you IN love, good for you. For the rest of us who are still searching for our prince charming … might I suggest this fabulous calling card from Mr. Boddington?

If that doesn’t get the point across, I’m not quite sure what will ;)

Happy Valentine’s Day to you all, from me and my favorite little bobble head (yes, i own her and her partner … love them!)

Fall RTW – Final Favorites

It’s nearly impossible to narrow an entire weeks worth of fashions into a list of favorites… but here they are…

My favorite ‘casual’ looks…

My favorite colors…

And if I had to pick a long and a short dress out of all of them…

… and that’s all folks! Hope you found a little inspiration in these images this week!

Fall RTW – Collections (and more dresses!)

There were a few collections that I particularly enjoyed for the Fall RTW collections that I haven’t shared yet, so here they are!

From the J. Mendel collection ~ I fell head over heels for these breezy dresses with delicate details, but my favorite part had to be the adorable little ‘ear muffs’. I seriously love them.

Of course, the queen of fabulous dresses is always Monique Lhuillier. Her dresses are imaginative yet classic, and alway alway gorgeous. This year she mixed it up with sequins and feathers in olive green – a popular color this fall.

I especially loved the white dress with the coppery gold bodice. Striking!

Loved the collection from Vera Wang, but these three were my favorites – especially the first dress.

Perhaps the most breathtaking dresses, these designs from Marchesa are serious red carpet material… if you could even get down the red carpet in that black one!

The Philosophy collection was also one that stood out to me. This is one time that I really liked the combination of a delicate top with a ‘heavy’ bottom – the striped stockings and boots or tweed pants.

This very small collection from Rachel Roy was beautifully done – and the models were perfect. A very different set from most of the fall pieces, this one featured some beautiful colors, touches of ethnic prints, feathery accessories, and very classic cuts.

I love the direction that Ralph Lauren went with for fall – lots of plaids! And the pops of color against the black were so classic. Such great style.

Last, but definitely not least, the collection from Rodarte was the one that kept me wanting more! Absolutely the most creative and inspirational pieces that I saw, their blend of colors and textures were amazing, and you could tell that every detail – from makeup to hair to the pieces themselves – was so well thought out. Amazing.

Fall RTW – Color

Two collections for the Fall season stood out to me as the best for color inspiration.

The first is a fun and quirky collection from Chris Benz – his pieces are so ridiculous. I’m in LOVE.

This coat is THE BEST! I want to walk down the streets of NYC like Carrie Bradshaw in some fabulous Manolos in this peachy pile of faux fur.

So much citrus for a fall collection!

Of course, the best colors came from the incredibly genius Proenza Schouler line. They absolutely captured the essence of the predicted hottest hues for the season.

Deep, dark shades of green, purples, mustard yellows and wine… mixed with a little metallic!

One word. GORGEOUS.

For more color inspiration…

Canary Yellow to Coral to Wine): Behnaz Sarafpour, Y-3, Isaac Mizrahi, Tuleh, Lela Rose and Tommy Hilfiger.

My current favorite, Peaches to Greens, from left to right: TSE, Halson, Herve Leger, Charles Nolan (love him!!!), DVF, and doo.ri.

Mustards to Violets: Lacoste, Charles Nolan, Malo, Behnaz Sarafpour, and (the last two) Oscar de la Renta.

Fall RTW – Dresses!

My favorite part of any fashion week tends to be the dresses. I can’t help it, I’m such a girl!

Everyone needs a little (or a lotta) black dress. These were some of my favorites from the catwalk…

Clockwise: Pleated and simple from Calvin Klein, gorgeous frills from Dennis Basso, a simple but classy style from Lela Rose, and beautiful folds from Zac Posen.

Loving the velvets from Derek Lam – so well done! Deco lines from Zac Posen, and lacy goodness from Naeem Kahn.

Or, you can go for a little color and pattern with these dresses…

Gorgeous browns from Badgley Mischka, bands of green from Carlos Miele, simple neutral stripes from Jason Wu, and a sassy little number from Tuleh.

Love the peacock-esque pattern from Behnaz Sarafpour, sweet and sassy from L’Wren, my favorite yellow from Temperly, and a fabulous floral combo from Michael Kors.
