STYLING + PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP IN MARRAKECH!

peacock pavilion bedroom3

It’s hard to believe it it was only a few short months ago that I flew off to Morocco on a fabulous adventure to join my friend and mentor Annette Joseph at one of her amazing photography and styling workshops. I shared a bit of our trip in a previous post, but today I wanted to share […]

this would really be a dream of mine to go. Morroco was my favorite place I’ve traveled with my mom, but sadly it rained the whole time and we were not able to stay in a place like this. I would really love to do a blogging/photography workshop like this though so hopefully there will be other US-based/more cost-efficient ones to attend in the future!

THE BEAUTY BEHIND THE SCENES…

bart pagoda bts

Whenever we do a photo shoot, I find myself wishing we had another photographer just to capture all of the fun that goes on behind the scenes. The candid, the chaos, the creativity… it’s as much a part of the shoot as the actual subject! Maybe that’s why I’m so intrigued by this series taken by Bart […]

I love these photos and love being able to see behind the scenes…they’re the most interesting photos I think. I have to say I’m quite fond of Cara Delevingnes work. I love her style and quirky fun personality. Wish I could be that more open and quirky…lol…well, I am pretty quirky just have to be more openly quirky. haha…

i love everything about this shoot. i think it is definitely important to step back and take a look at all possible angles, whether it’s in photography, art, or just life in general. you never know when you will learn something new that will lead to something great.

LIFE THROUGH WINDOWS

Sara Blomqvist by Tim Barber for Muse

The rain and gray of Seattle fall finally found us this weekend, and I have to say it was a nice excuse to stay in after so much travel lately. I love the change of seasons from summer to fall. There’s something so moody, cozy, and real about it. If summer is chick lit, then […]

Loved this post! You captured fall so well with sitting inside a coffee shop listening to the rain, chic lit vs. Bronte, etc. … and I never realized but yes, looking through windows outside does remind me an awful lot of the change in seasons!

This is SO SEATTLE. I love it. I love how cozy coffee shops feel and look when it’s gray outside. And now I want butternut squash ravioli. Bring it to me. NOW. :)

HEAVEN ON EARTH :: DESOLATION SOUND

IMG_6142

Good morning friends!! I can’t believe I’m back from vacation already. It’s amazing how quickly a week goes by when you lose all concept of time. (Easily achieved, by the way, when you’re not checking your phone every 10 seconds for new emails.) I’ve never so completely checked out of blogland before, and it was […]

Looks absolutely dreamy! I don’t think we realize the effect that being plugged in all the time has on us. I certainly know how hard it is trying to turn it all off. Good on you for committing fully to this experience so you could take it all in.

A MARILYN MOMENT

bert_stern_marilyn_monroe

I’m sure I’m not the only one who’s ever admired the work of Bert Stern in his final photo shoot with the iconic Marilyn Monroe. The images capture the essence of a woman who could flash a flirty smile for the camera one second, and reveal her troubled eyes and insecurities the next… But the […]

I have such a crush on Carey Mulligan! This could be a very cool idea for a gift for someone. I’d also like to see people do this with their pets…is that weird??

Boo – I’m totally with you on your post! Usually Marilyn is so overdone, but there’s something about this shoot that I just love. I’ll have to take your advice and do some ebay hunting for the image!
