ROUND UP :: PUT A PLANT IN IT

Some people enjoy flowers for Valentine’s Day (I mean, who wouldn’t?) but I prefer a gift that sticks around after the roses die, don’t you? If you’re gonna give your main squeeze some blooms come Friday, at the very least consider putting them in a beautiful vessel that he or she will use again and […]

        Looks like a Dracaena Marginata, which is a great house plant.

        Could also be a Cordyline (also part of the Draeceana family) which grows to be a tall tree/bush.

TOMMY MITCHELL :: GILDED FLORA

deeda blair home

A few weeks back I featured a little vignette from the home of the elegant Deeda Blair, and one things I noted, that I didn’t point out in that post, were these beautiful ceramic florals that she had throughout her home… Perched on windowsills, tables, and decorative moments throughout the space, I loved the soft […]

H&M BRINGS IT HOME

H&M HOME via coco_kelley

It’s always fun when another affordable contender in the home department emerges from the pack, and this time around it’s H&M home (along with a new website that’s a bit more shopable!). While many of the designs leave something to be desired, there are some really great basics that will make easy additions to bedroom […]

GET THE LOOK :: ISLAND INSPIRED

tropical inspired vignette

This weekend totally felt on the verge of summer. I booked a trip to east coast for the 4th of July (I can’t wait!), took all my summer clothes out of storage, and even did a little swapping of linens in my bedroom (which I’ll share later this week) to get things feeling fresh in […]

    Gorgeous inspiration, Cass! You reminded me that I really needed to add more plants to my home, my green thumb needs some practicing (and I’m getting bored by my succulents :) Also, adding a pineapple (or three) would be a nice touch. Even thinking of it instantly puts me in a summery mode (more so, because it’s pouring rain outside right now!)

    Have a fantastic week ahead!

A LADY FROM THE SEA…

seashell lady bust

Months ago, while trolling my favorite antique mall here in Seattle, I stumbled upon the most gorgeous bust. She was a lovely lady topped in a crown surrounded by seashells that cascaded down like hair, and I fell for her bigtime. I’ve been dreaming of finding a bust of my own to do this to, […]
