FASHIONABLE DETAILS :: CÉLINE WINTER 14/15

celine winter 14/15 // kira bunse

When you’re actually attending a fashion show, the clothing that swishes by you on the runway goes so quickly that you rarely have a chance to actually appreciate the details. The cut, the color, the fabric, the way it flows on the model – none of that is lost. But, the hardware, the craftsmanship, and […]

    Gorgeous photos! And nice post! Thanks for helping point the focus back on the actual clothes, construction, fabrics and fit. It was refreshing to read your point of view on one of the fall collections, highlighting the sumptuous details! I noticed the single earring from this show a few months ago, (loved the vintage vibe!) and am also intrigued to try it!

    Thanks for sharing these beautiful images ! You are right – the creative details are what’s most interesting about a particular collection and are always inspiring to learn.
    Love Céline and felt that there were a couple of strong collections at the Paris Fashion Week S/S15 too (like Valentino !) :) Thanks again !

IN THE DETAILS :: UKE

Usually, our ‘In the Details’ posts have to do with interiors – but today it’s all about fashion, my friends. This gorgeous line – UKE – out of Spain recently hit my radar, and I not only fell in love with the clothes themselves, but the details that are so DIY worthy if you happen […]

    ooo gorgeous! Although, we did see Julia Roberts in pants at the Sag awards and unfortunately she had that weird double crotch thing going on. If only she had the pleating on the side she would have scored big!

NYFW :: J.CREW

I wasn’t really planning on doing any full reviews of the shows I attended during fashion week, but with so much buzz, energy, and amazingness coming out of the J.Crew presentation this morning, it would be silly not to share! Funny enough, I’ve been working on a post talking about how I feel like surf […]

    Coming from a professional painter, I can guarantee you 2 things, one my paint close don’t look half as nice and trendy as that cargo and 2 because I’m always in them I could not see myself buying some to wear on the days I’m not working LOL! Other than that I am happy with the dressy being paired with the more casual, have always loved this look!

    Feeling exactly the same as you regarding the sequin pants, however I think Im leaning towards giving them a try! Loving the skirt in the first look – so my style! And the shoes??? Oh, the shoes!!! They are simply lovely! Every pair you showed has me swooning!

    Greta photos BTW. Now, most importantly… I want to know what you ended up wearing! ;)

    Hey…guess I’m a “lil bit” stylish (and a lot rock n roll) as I’ve been wearing my “New Year’s sequin skirt” all summer with T’s, chambreys, etc. Now..on to sequin pants! franki

    I don’t mean to be a wet blanket but I expect more from J Crew. They have shown the paint smeared pants before- I feel like I am being sold swamp land in the desert when I look at clothes that are really not attractive but they want us to think they are because they are J Crew (kind of like every now and then when they try to get us to wear overalls). Sigh, I am disappointed to think this is what awaits me in the spring.

    I’m going to see Jimmy Buffett in Paris next week and all I can think is how much I need those sequin hawaiian pants for the show! Am I right!? What better place to wear those than Buffett…in Paris!

NYFW :: WHIT + LULU FROST

WHIT ss14 _ 1

Fashion Week kicked off for me on Wednesday with a couple of presentations. I’ll be honest – I kind of prefer them to the shows. You get to see the pieces up close, mingle with the designer and friends, and if you’re lucky, there are drinks involved. They’re WAY more fun than a packed theater […]

ONE TO WATCH :: MES DAMES

mes dames coco+kelley

In the vastness of the internet, and the world for that matter, there are so many designers that get swallowed up in the noise. So, it’s nice to see sites like runway2street popping up – sites like these give boutique or international designers a place to showcase their designs for us to discover and devour. […]
