BADASS BAUBLES

On an average day, I’m a jeans and tee kinda girl – usually black jeans and a grey v-neck, pumped up by some edgier accessories. So, I’ve decided it’s about time I kick up the jewelry collection a bit with some pieces that add a bit more badass to the simple equation. Here are some [...]

OBSESSED :: MOCIUN

mociun2

The more of my friends that get married, the more I’m convinced I’ll need an ‘alternative’ engagement ring by the time it’s my turn. Partially because I can’t stand having something someone else already has, but also because I have a pretty specific aesthetic (shocking, I know). Enter the custom pieces over at Mociun … Despite [...]

Oh my how beautiful!! I would love to be surprised one day by my boyfriend with a wedding ring, but then other days I’m like I hope he proposes than says okay I have this much to spend go pick out your own ring! That way I could customize like some of these beauties! Wow I love the emerald one!! =)

Oh my gosh, I couldn’t agree more! It simply wouldn’t be me to have something that is the standard. These are stunning, and certainly will be making it to my Pin board I have built for that certain Mr. Right if he ever comes along, to help guide him in picking out the perfect ring for me!
    Much love,

Woohoo lady! I totally see what you’re talking about. I’ve been thinking the same regarding “what everybody else is wearing” and that’s why I’ve been visibly drawn to vintage pieces. But this one is a great alternative. Thank you for sharing :)
May you have a fabulous week!

I couldn’t agree more. Everyone has a round or cushion diamond with a halo of diamonds around it and diamonds down the band. They are pretty, but so overdone. I just got engaged and have a gorgeous oval sapphire with trillion diamonds either side. I love it – classic, stylish, glamorous and sooo me!

BTW – love the phrase “specific aesthetic”!

These are all so beautiful! I love the idea of having a unique engagement ring, and using heirloom pieces would make it even more special

Oh I am obsessed with Mociun too! They have the best jewelry. I recently bought a pair of earrings they made for Of A Kind….but wish I could get a ring like the one second from the top haha. I hadn’t seen these pieces before. I agree that an ‘alternative’ engagement ring is the way to go. Mine is very simple but my husband made it and it’s perfectly my taste.

OWNED :: WHAT I’M WEARING IN JANUARY

coco+kelley what i'm wearing january

So often in blogging we’re always making wishlists, but what about the things we actually own and love!? I’ve decided that each month I should start sharing some of my favorite new pieces – whether they’re around the house or in my closet - because these are the items I can actually vouch for as being a [...]

Nice! I like this concept of ID’ing pieces we already have and love….and just need to remember to wear, or rework into our current rotations. Thanks for a refreshing take! I’ve gotten tired of the “want, want, want” attitude that pervades the blogosphere–this is a nice break from that, so please keep it up.

I LOVE this idea. Singing the praises of things we already own and love (and not trolling for the next new thing) is definitely something I can get behind. I’m trying to spend less this year but still live fabulously, so this concept really resonates with me. And, if I do decide to buy something new, knowing it’s receiving rave reviews (from at least one person) should help me spend my money right. Great series!

Love this series! I am totally into loving the things you already own. Many wish list items are not affordable so it’s great to see how you can rework things you already have.

I tell you what – finding little shops with fashionable treasures is no easy feat! It’s one thing then when you’re roaming your favorite local boutiques, but a whole other thing when you’re scouring the world wide web. SEQUIN STUNNERS

Way back at the beginning of September (seriously, where does the time go?) I was invited to the Sequin Jewelry Showroom here in Manhattan. Sequin does the runway jewels for many top fashion brands inducing Tadashi Shoji, Badgley Mischka, Ruffian and Houghton and as it was the height of Fashion Week – it was an exciting time to be in the showroom! Here’s a peek at their gorgeous jewels! These bright [...]

AN ENCHANTING PROJECT WITH ELVA FIELDS

elva inspirations

Some of the most amazingly beautiful things in the world are coming out of creative collaborations these days, and I can’t tell you enough how much I believe in this concept right now (more on that to come) so when Emily Maynard of Elva Fields asked if I’d like to be her ‘Leading Lady’ for [...]

So beautiful! I know I usually ask these questions but I need all the help I can get from ladies who know how to put a look together–where are the tank and skirt from? Thanks!

The piece is wonderful Cassandra. I bet the process must have been fun for you. I would love to create pieces for myself and loving ladies in my life. The pictures in this set are gorgeous too. You know you are a little cameleon lady, with the positive side of saying, you can transform yourself with make up or hair or clothes or different photography style and that is a good thing, especially for models :)

ENCHANTING WOOD

irene wood_ history+industry_necklaces

Last night at dinner, we were discussing how funny it is that, even as a Seattleite, when you discover people with amazing talent, an eye for design, or incredible aesthetics… it’s hard to believe they live here. Let’s be honest – we’re much more known for fleece than fashion. I had one of those moments [...]

I completely agree. I think design needs to be supported locally here- and more events need to be focused on it. As long as there is an open invite- you will see my face in the crowd!
