GET THE LOOK :: ETHNIC CHIC

If I never hear the term ‘festival style’ again in my life it will be too soon, but there is something to be said for the overall aesthetic of this genre. Usually defined by bohemian, flowy tops and dresses in lace, embroidery and a more ethnic influence, this mesh of worldly influences can be quite beautiful… […]

Love the bohemian look. Cost Plus usually has some nice, flowy tops and kaftans that I love to pair with a nice pair of jeans!

I’ve been looking for those Dolce Vita shoes in my size everywhere! They are the perfect summer heel in my opinion.

GET THE LOOK :: THE WHITE SHIRTDRESS

get-the-look---white-shirt-dress-for-spring

There aren’t many pieces in the closet more classic than the white button-up – that I think we can all agree on. But how are you all feeling about the white shirtdress? I remember seeing Leandra bravely rocking hers at fashion week last September and thinking… I love it. But, it takes some guts (and […]

What timing with this post. This weekend I was watching an interview with an older actress who was wearing one of these with black nylons and all I could think was that it looked like she is missing her pants and when she stands up her undies will show!
I think a belt would go a long way, however, I do like the one maneater is wearing, the bow is very cute and makes it look more like a dress.

I’m totally with you – and black nylons would make it look even more strange in my opinion! They are tricky and need to be done really well. The problem with a belt, of course, is that it shortens an already short piece, but there are some nice, longer ones that look less like a large shirt and more like a purposeful dress, which is what I’d lean towards – especially if you’re on the taller side!

GET THE LOOK :: THE MUST-HAVE PINK COAT

pink-coats-+-black-coco+kelley

So, apparently we are all incredibly obsessed with pink coats this winter. I’d be shocked if you haven’t already seen a few posts on the subject. But for me personally, I think the reason I find myself drawn to them is the simple fact that pink is the perfect way to soften up the total […]

Well, now I need a pink coat! Main problem being it’s Spring in Sydney and unseasonally warm so it wouldn’t get much wear. A girl can dream~

I’m loving the whole concept of it – it seems like this winter, pink coats are the new camel coats. It softens a look so much and seems to go with any colour! I’m still searching for ‘the one.’ Hopefully, I’ll find it by winter.

GOING GRUNGE!

NYFW-stree-style-anna della russo- giovanna-grunge

Believe it or not, I rarely take fashion tips from Anna Dello Russo. Her over-the-top style is one few of us can pull off, let alone aspire to. But when I saw her glamorous take on grunge during fashion week, I couldn’t help but take note… Earlier that week, I had purchased a red rose […]

Not sure if I could pull off a look this extreme, but I love the combo of tomboy meets a bit of femininity. Really, it’s all about comfort and style and I would definitely pair your plaid top to that leather skirt and studded boots during the day and switch it out the pumps for a night time look. Great selection!

I love grunge but I am also from Seattle and had a huge crush on Kurt Cobain. Sigh. I love this refined, feminine version of the sloppiness that was the 90′s. I will not, however get back on board with Doc Martin boots–so unflattering. Or overalls. But I love me some flannel and floral prints.

I love this new take on grunge. I like that it is a little bit girlier than ’90s grunge and is the ultimate in dressing down fancier pieces. I will 100% be embracing this trend I think. It isn’t too far from my style as is.

    Hi there,

I love your streetstyle pinterest board! I am a new streetstyle photographer from Brazil based in NYC and I was wondering if you could take a look at my photos and give me some feedback on my work. I think you do such a great job curating the board and you see so many photos, that I figured I would ask.
