WEEKEND WEAR // LA LADY

Whenever I pack for LA, it reminds me of how much I appreciate casual west coast style – and how much I miss weekends walking down to the beach or strolling Abbot Kinney where I used to live. Well, today, I’m hoppin’ a flight to my former city, and day dreaming about the contents of [...]

You picked a great weekend to hit LA! It’s been sort of blah all week (rain and wind…not to mention fires) but this weekend looks like it is going to be gorgeous! (Last weekend was terrible). Hope you have a great trip!

I seriously need that romper… I don’t know why but I’m a total sucker for them. I hope they never go out of style!

GLITTER + GATSBY

I remember when I first heard that Baz Lurhmann was recreating The Great Gatsby for the big screen – I was beyond excited. First of, the man is a visual genius, so you know that no matter what it’s going to be a spectacular overdose of glamour – from the sets to the costuming. As if [...]

Oh my gosh I actually doubt I’ve ever been so excited for a movie release. It’s just perfect: the soundtrack, the clothes, the actors…can’t wait!

And I’m avidly awaiting for that Vogue cover.

FILLES A PAPA // SPRING

benshirt

I’ve been looking for something to add a little kick to my style inspiration lately, and I think I found it in the Filles a Papa spring collection… Flannel paired with sequins? What more could this Seattle girl want? Loving it with the black denim too… since I live in my black skinny jeans. I [...]

BOLD + BEACHY WITH BANANA REPUBLIC SPRING

coco+kelley and banana republic bold spring outfitting_5

Spring is finally here, and it’s time to go to work on the wardrobe, kids. I don’t know about you, but I’ve got big ambitions for this season. The next few months are already booked with lots of weekend trips to sunnier destinations, so it was simply serendipitous that Banana Republic and I teamed up a few [...]

GET DRESSED :: IT’S WEDDING SEASON

17a96fbfddc7cd1536a02a918254e264

It’s been a while since I had a summer full of weddings to plan for, but this year – out of the blue – there they were. Five of ‘em. Luckily, I’m a bridesmaid in one of them, which narrows down the dresses required down to four. Sure, I’ve got a couple fun little frocks [...]

I have two weddings in the next month and luckily one I’m a bridesmaid for! The wedding in May I want a long & flowy dress too. Hopefully the weather will be warm by then too!! =)

I’d have to say the cap sleeve dress is more my style. It’s timeless, it’s a neutral colour, so really any other colour can be paired with it and it’s elegant for a lovely, simple summer wedding.

RISKY BUSINESS :: PRINT ON PRINT

print on print street style coco+kelley

The crazy thing about new year’s resolutions is that once you start coming up with them, it’s pretty hard to stop. After having so much fun with our holiday outfitting posts, I think I’m going to try and make at least one of those a month. Which means it’s time to come up with some [...]

I love your idea of monthly outfits and your risk taking on fashion! That was one of my new year’s goals…take a risky edge with my looks. Can’t wait to see what’s In store!

i live for print on print. what a statement you could make, excited to see what you come up with. your inspiration pictures are stripes on stripes, dots on dots, animal on animal. if the colors worked, i would mix those, pairing stripes with dots or animal with stripes. it’s fun, it’s colorful, it’s whimsical.

Wow. Print on print looks amazing on these photos. Although it is true that it’s hard to create such a great set. Some people just exaggerate and make huge mess, not stylization.

HOLIDAY OUTFITTING :: BANISH THE BLACK

coco+kelley new years eve outfitting

The few times that I’ve gotten all dolled up for New Year’s Eve, it’s always been black black black. It’s classy, it’s sophisticated, it’s easy…and I’m tired of it. So this year, I’ve got a little number that packs some serious punch… Forget pretty – I want edgy. Give me some serious shoulders and hip-hugging [...]

Stunning! Like Serena Van der Woodsen stunning. Out of the (black) box, but still classy with a bit of edge.

Do we get a hair tutorial, too? B/c I’m loving that look but have no clue how to pull it off.

That last photo of you is fabulous!
I too have tired of the little black dress. For my holiday party this year I wore a gold dress and it was a huge hit, quite the venture for me. but I look forward to more adventurous dress wearing in the future. Thanks for the links to purchase new dresses.

Cassandra, you look absolutely stunning in that cool dress! And you’re absolutely right! I will wear a bronze colored dress full with sequins. You can’t glitter too much on New Year’s Eve, right? ;-) Have a great and sparkling 2013!!
