CRUSHING ON :: CAROLINE KAUFMAN

f

Lately, I can’t seem to get enough inspiration from people who aren’t taking themselves too seriously. Those who are adding a true shot of personality into their designs – unapologetically – are the ones who are getting my attention these days. If I had to guess, I’d say Caroline Kaufman might be one of those people… Her use […]

    Some of those models wearing the knit sweaters remind me of what my Barbies used to look like wearing the homemade knit clothing my mom would make for us. :)

    Oh wow this is definitely different and fun. I’m with you, sometimes you just need to have fun and really let your personality shine, this is a perfect example of it.

GOING TROPICAL IN BLACK + WHITE

MOODBOARD-Paradise-is-Here-3

Watch out banana leaf and pineapple prints. This year’s tropicals are getting a sophisticated twist in black and white, and frankly – I couldn’t be happier. It’s no secret that I love a more beachy vibe, but when it comes to my home and my wardrobe, I can’t deny my neutral inclinations, making this style […]

SPRING WARDROBE TRENDS :: DENIM

full-length-denim-skirt-trend-spring-15

Denim is as old as the USA. Well, maybe not quite, but it certainly feels like the defining fabric of American fashion. It hangs in every closet, is folded in drawers nationwide, and it comes in shapes and styles that fit every lifestyle. All that said, we’d all be down right bored if it wasn’t cleverly […]

ROUNDUP :: THE SUMMER PONCHO

the daybook tunic and jeans

It may seem a bit ridiculous to some to be planning my summer wardrobe already, but lately I’ve been on a major wardrobe overhaul. Tweaking and refining my style to suit life as it is now… not life as it was 4 years ago. My only problem is that I live in a city that’s […]

    I am so glad to see these ponchos. I bought 4 for my late winter/early spring go-to wardrobe must haves.

    I found my ponchos on the TV shopping channels and love This look. Now I want to find the lightweight versions for the sweltering Texas summer ahead.

DOUBLE DARING :: ROSIE + ROXANNE ASSOULINE

Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset

I always look forward to seeing my friend Nicole Cohen’s images from the Rosie Assouline show during NYFW. She gets the behind the scenes, as well as the presentation, but this year there was something more that caught my eye than the usual dramatic pieces put forth by the talented designer… The statement-making single flower earrings created […]

    I absolutely loved this collection, including the statement earrings which are such a part of my own fashion statement. The draping on these clothes was just gorgeous and I am jealous of your friend for being in such close proximity to them. I really enjoyed these photos and got to re-expeience the joy I felt the first time I saw these clothes again.
