GET THE LOOK :: A ROMANTIC BERRY HUED TABLETOP

DARK + ROMANTIC TABLE SETTING

When we stumbled upon this wine and berry hued tabletop, I knew it would be the perfect starting point for some Valentine’s Day tabletop inspiration. Taking a cue from this lavish setting, we recreated our own version of this dark and romantic table… Overflowing floral arrangements of saturated peonies, berries and a bit of greenery add depth and texture. I’d tuck the bundles into vintage brass urns […]

Looks perfect! I will definitely use your idea to set up the mood for Valentine’s day. Me and my husband rarely have the time to have a nice romantic dinner so I decided to do something special. Have a lovely day!

ROOM OF THE WEEK // 1.6

the cozy bedroom of homepolish founder noa santos with rich burgundy headboard, fur comforter, and lots of light and white - via coco+kelley7

The very first Room of the Week of the new year! I have a special place in my heart for this simple series as it’s been the longest running and still a favorite for myself and – it seems – for you! I hope this inaugural room for 2016 doesn’t disappoint! It’s certainly got me wishing […]

Great office view! The minimal-style table, side pillar, and natural light form the window view make this room great. The accents on the table (especially the iMac) are great; and I love the pillar with the planter, added a bit of green to the space.

    Great room!

IN THE KITCHEN :: MOD MEETS FARMHOUSE

pop color fruit art in the kitchen via martha stewartjpg

Lately, I’ve been drawn to the idea of bold color in the kitchen – specifically in primary tones of red, blue and yellow. But I’m not talking cabinets or wall paint – I’m talking vintage modern accessories mixed with farmhouse style. Think mod pop art, enamelware canisters, schoolhouse clocks and powder-coated industrial stools… In a super warm […]

I definately agree with you that this is a great idea, by using accessories for that pop of colour!
For me also full on colour for units and walls is too much!!

I love the retro feel of your chioces. Updating with accessories means that if you get bored or decide to move on with a different look then it is much easier to update.

PERFECT PALETTES :: RETRO REVIVAL

retro-yellow-pink-burnt-orange-palette

Whenever I’m in an inspiration funk for something to write about on the blog – usually first thing on a Monday morning – I dive into my color files to find something that’s speaking to me. Today? It was this… I’ve really been into these retro-inspired color palettes lately. That vintage brown. A little mustard yellow. […]

I love this palette! it’s almost the one I have set up for my living room so yay. I wrote a post about color palettes last week and I had so much fun looking for the right ones, super inspiring.

Perfect timing! Though I gravitate to a palette of white and neutrals with texture and maybe some deep emerald green thrown in, I’m trying to be a little bolder in the new place I’m sharing with my boyfriend. Some new-to-us mid century chairs with bright blue upholstery are the jumping off point for this brave new world of colour and this is the kind of fun clashy-contrast that I want to pair it with.

SHOP THE PALETTE :: RUSTED REDS + NUDE

rusted-reds-and-nude-palette-inspiration-coco-kelley

Red is all I can think about adding to my wardrobe these days. Rusty reds, to be exact. If you hadn’t noticed, burnt orange was making a comeback on the runways lately, so I’m guessing if you invest in this color now, you’ll be able to wear it well into spring… But for winter? Paired […]
