GET THE LOOK :: A ROMANTIC BERRY HUED TABLETOP

DARK + ROMANTIC TABLE SETTING

When we stumbled upon this wine and berry hued tabletop, I knew it would be the perfect starting point for some Valentine’s Day tabletop inspiration. Taking a cue from this lavish setting, we recreated our own version of this dark and romantic table… Overflowing floral arrangements of saturated peonies, berries and a bit of greenery add depth and texture. I’d tuck the bundles into vintage brass urns […]

    Looks perfect! I will definitely use your idea to set up the mood for Valentine’s day. Me and my husband rarely have the time to have a nice romantic dinner so I decided to do something special. Have a lovely day!

ART DIRECTION :: COZY CREAMSICLE

Cordy Ryman

Ready or not, the last days of summer are upon us. In Seattle that means draping ourselves in cozy layers while we’re enjoying that last summer ice cream cone before fall officially begins. The work of New York City born and bred Cordy Ryman, who I learned about at the Seattle Art Fair (which was a smashing success!), inspired this last summer hurrah mood […]

BOLD SUMMER STRIPES FOR YOUR HOME

striped pillows on bench

Stripes are a life-long addiction for me. They permeate my wardrobe and my home, and are usually of the black and white variety… but all that is about to change. Lately I’ve found myself drawn to more of a bold stripe – especially for summer! I mean that turquoise and coral combo is undeniably happy […]

ROOM OF THE WEEK 7.1

espacio-perfecto-para-la-vida-en-familia

Lately I just can’t get travel off my mind – I’m already planning some big (and little!) trips for the coming year, from a return to Marrakech for our styling workshop to a potential getaway in Jamaica (what!) all I want to do is hop a plane! So while some of you may be getting away to […]

    That house is dreamy! This is the second time this week that I’ve heard someone rave about Portugal, and it’s inching me closer and closer to planning our own trip.

PERFECT PALETTES :: RETRO REVIVAL

retro-yellow-pink-burnt-orange-palette

Whenever I’m in an inspiration funk for something to write about on the blog – usually first thing on a Monday morning – I dive into my color files to find something that’s speaking to me. Today? It was this… I’ve really been into these retro-inspired color palettes lately. That vintage brown. A little mustard yellow. […]

    I love this palette! it’s almost the one I have set up for my living room so yay. I wrote a post about color palettes last week and I had so much fun looking for the right ones, super inspiring.

    Perfect timing! Though I gravitate to a palette of white and neutrals with texture and maybe some deep emerald green thrown in, I’m trying to be a little bolder in the new place I’m sharing with my boyfriend. Some new-to-us mid century chairs with bright blue upholstery are the jumping off point for this brave new world of colour and this is the kind of fun clashy-contrast that I want to pair it with.
