OUR GUIDE TO THE BEST NEUTRAL PAINT COLORS (THAT AREN’T WHITE!)

a guide to the best neutral paint colors for your home that AREN'T white!

There’s something to be said about a fresh coat of white paint – it’s crisp, clean, and offers a completely blank palette. So, don’t get me wrong when I say I’m ready for a change of pace, because it will always be a classic. But, as much as I love the look, we’re definitely ready for something […]

    Is there a source for the image of the green bedroom? I’ve had a look through the blog archives but can’t find a post for it and wanted to see if there were any more angles of the lovely green decor 🙂

PERFECT PALETTES :: RETRO REVIVAL

retro-yellow-pink-burnt-orange-palette

Whenever I’m in an inspiration funk for something to write about on the blog – usually first thing on a Monday morning – I dive into my color files to find something that’s speaking to me. Today? It was this… I’ve really been into these retro-inspired color palettes lately. That vintage brown. A little mustard yellow. […]

    I love this palette! it’s almost the one I have set up for my living room so yay. I wrote a post about color palettes last week and I had so much fun looking for the right ones, super inspiring.

    Perfect timing! Though I gravitate to a palette of white and neutrals with texture and maybe some deep emerald green thrown in, I’m trying to be a little bolder in the new place I’m sharing with my boyfriend. Some new-to-us mid century chairs with bright blue upholstery are the jumping off point for this brave new world of colour and this is the kind of fun clashy-contrast that I want to pair it with.

Red is all I can think about adding to my wardrobe these days. Rusty reds, to be exact. If you hadn’t noticed, burnt orange was making a comeback on the runways lately, so I’m guessing if you invest in this color now, you’ll be able to wear it well into spring… But for winter? Paired […]

INSPIRED BY ART :: ‘SKY STAIRS’

NYSD ronald bricke bedroom aqua and purple

Whenever I see a color combo I love, I stick it away in a little file for future inspiration. Such was the case with this vibrant paint situation in the bedroom belonging to Ronald Bricke… A bit intense, yes, but beautiful all the same. I especially liked the addition of wood and a hint of […]

WEDDING PALETTES IN RED + NUDE

There’s been a trend forming on my wedding pinterest board lately, and it’s all about the combination of red + nude… We’ve seen the soft pink and nude tones in the wedding world for the past few years, and just when I thought it might be getting a bit boring, the addition of this bright, […]

      They are all amazing! I just love that cake. For me, the contrast of the deep burgundy adds so much sophistication. Number 3 for the win!
