decorista-egyptian-pin-pals1

Hello lovely readers, Ashlina from The Decorista here bringing you a little exotic eye candy while Cassandra is in a far away land. Wow, I kind of love that bedroom, but how over the top would it be?! Like living in a themed hotel – I feel like it would take some cojones lol

DAMN, YOU GLAM.

kelly wearstler

It’s official, you guys. I need a big brass door – some way, somehow – in my life.   Perhaps, in the closet, a lá glamourista Kelly Wearstler? seems a shame to hide all that fabulousness from the world, though.     I prefer to take my loud and proud glam moments out of the [...]

WHAT TO WEAR :: NEW YEAR’S EVE

coco+kelley new years eve outfitting

The few times that I’ve gotten all dolled up for New Year’s Eve, it’s always been black black black. It’s classy, it’s sophisticated, it’s easy…and I’m tired of it. So this year, I’ve got a little number that packs some serious punch… Forget pretty – I want edgy. Give me some serious shoulders and hip-hugging [...]

Stunning! Like Serena Van der Woodsen stunning. Out of the (black) box, but still classy with a bit of edge.

Do we get a hair tutorial, too? B/c I’m loving that look but have no clue how to pull it off.

That last photo of you is fabulous!
I too have tired of the little black dress. For my holiday party this year I wore a gold dress and it was a huge hit, quite the venture for me. but I look forward to more adventurous dress wearing in the future. Thanks for the links to purchase new dresses.

Cassandra, you look absolutely stunning in that cool dress! And you’re absolutely right! I will wear a bronze colored dress full with sequins. You can’t glitter too much on New Year’s Eve, right? ;-) Have a great and sparkling 2013!!

CHANNELING :: TALITHA GETTY

talia getty boho princess coco+kelley

When I stumbled upon this vintage Vogue image of Talitha Getty, I was immediately enamoured with the eclectic style she exudes in the photograph. Mixing a Moroccan crown, Berber dress and classic British boots, Talitha perfectly captures the worldly mix of cultural influences that we’re seeing again today – especially in interiors. Which makes this [...]

Cassandra your choice of pairing the gold beauties with lace and chambray is genius and sweet enough for everyday. The pictures are great too.

P.s :Have you ever thought about going a little bit lighter with your hair? I can picture you rocking a rich chocolate color right now darling :)

I couldn’t reply to your reply Cassandra, so I have to comment in a new one. I am so glad we are on the same track about your hair change. At first I was thinking reach brown like these :

But after some thought, I would suggest you two other options:
1-keep growing out your hair and color it in aubergine color (yes aubergine)
2- if you want to go all the way for drastic change, rock a pixie with a dark shiny black color. Don’t run, I don’t want you to look ugly, I just imagined you like that and you looked good. Think of Ginnifer Goodwin’s chic pixie.

Whatever you decide, just let us know soon :)

TRULY OUTRAGEOUS

silver+green+pink room to outfit inspiration

Raise your hand if you grew up watching Jem and the Holograms. (If you’re too young to have any idea what I’m talking about, please do yourself a favor and google immediately.) This rock girl’s theme song proclaimed her to be truly outrageous, and I couldn’t help but think that Jem might appreciate this little bit [...]
