Since returning from sunnier climates a few days ago, I've been ecstatic to see the flowers in our yard blooming, and the sun making a few appearances - it really feels like we're on the verge of spring, and I can hardly wait!
There's something so refreshing about this time of year, and while I've been working on some upcoming editorials here at coco+kelley, I ran across some major spring style inspiration in the form of the Moncler Gamme Rouge show that is giving me loads of ideas for our next tabletop...
The mix of mesh, strong graphic windowpanes, and sweet embroidered and beaded florals created a cohesive look for the show that instantly struck a chord with me. Strong, but feminine is always a favorite mix.
To add to the fun, the ladies boasted swords and fencing masks, with accessories and materials inspired by the sport, suggesting a strong woman who - despite her sweet, natural appearance - isn't afraid of a little fight and can definitely hold her own.
The hair and makeup is not to be ignored - in sync with the style of the show, the models featured flushed cheeks, mussed ponytails, and an overall natural look as if they had just finished a round of exercise. (PS - the floral hair accessories are just calling my name for a DIY!)
Sweet but badass, right? I can't wait to turn this look into a party for spring!
