A Fresh Easter Tabletop With A Marble + Trellis Motif

If there’s one thing an Easter tabletop should be, it’s light, and full of flowers. For us Easter is really a celebration of spring, and for that reason, this fresh tabletop works perfectly with its mix of a traditional trellis pattern with modern marble, accented by those fresh white hyacinths that we showed you how to put together yesterday!

Remember this post? I said I’d be using it as inspiration for a table, and here it is! Proof that you don’t have to make things too literal – just use them as a springboard for your entertaining ideas!

We decided that this table should be a ‘nod’ to Easter in the most minimalist way. Marbled eggs were placed on gold spoons, and faux floral hair combs that we DIY’d were at every lady’s setting…

This table was a balance between austere and playful, with the cold marble being made a little more approachable by adding a light dusting of black and white confetti…

We also alternated settings between using the black dinner plate and black napkin between the charger and salad plate. Basically becuase I couldn’t decide which looked better! But if you’re playing with settings and can’t decide, do both! Why not!?

And we can’t ignore that stunning cake! It was made to ‘match’ the table with its pistachio and lime zest toppings, and was insanely delicious too! We’ll have that recipe for you tomorrow – I highly recommend adding it to your spring baking goals.

I just love all the high contrast black and white with the touch of green in here. I think it helps that the chairs and the rest of the room are warm woods so that it doesn’t feel too cold, though – if your wanted to warm this table up a bit for your own home, I’d suggest using wood or woven chargers under the dishes!
