Room Of The Week :: 10.30

In honor of Halloween, I thought it only appropriate to hunt down a dark and moody dwelling for this week’s Room of the Week

The living room of this home being my favorite. Essential to the balance of charcoal walls and an abundance of black and white is the addition of lighter woods, and cozier textures. The classic marble fireplace doesn’t hurt either.

What’s more impressive, though, is how this  theme carries throughout the home. Soooooo really the room of the week is all of the rooms…

Funny enough, I’m not sure I’d describe this space as feeling cold. Although, it’s not exactly warm either. It is, however, the exact opposite of what I normally gravitate towards – all white spaces with pops of color. The saturated greys are rich, and bring depth to the rooms, but living with it everywhere? I’m not sure I could handle that.

There is one space, however, where it feels the most appropriate and cozy…

Because a bedroom that encourages staying in bed is always on my favorites list.
