Interior Ensemble // V.2

In our first post of this new ‘Interior Ensemble’ series, I mentioned that we sort of stumbled onto this concept when putting together outfits to shoot within our friend Tamara Codor‘s loft. So, this second ensemble was something we had put together before even getting in the space.

Is it an exact interpretation of this vignette? Not so much. But a perfectly complimentary outfit? I’d say so…

First off, I want to steal this chair so bad. Or at least the vintage fabric on it. If we had taken this space more literally, I probably would have been wearing a vintage print dress with some edgy modern twist. As it is, this ensemble is definitely pretty urban – which speaks well to the loft setting.

The prints and tone of the pieces we chose is what ties them well to the space. We wanted this shot to be all about mixing pattern, having fun, and taking risks – something both the vignette and the outfit certainly do!

The oversized palm, the deco lamp, a classic wingback in a vintage fabric, and a super modern side table to host the bar? No rules here.

This was definitely one of my favorite outfits we put together that day. I’m such a t-shirt kind of gal, it was nice to find a way to pair it with a comfortable, but refined skirt, and the added layer of a well-cut leather jacket made all the difference.

I never would have thought to layer these delicate necklaces over a print top, but they work to add that little extra bit of interest, as does the rest of the jewelry.
