CEILING MEDALLIONS + MOD LIGHTING

It’s rare that I’m so instantly inspired by one image that it sparks a whole blog post on the same day, but when I woke up this morning I happened upon this instagram from Grace at design*sponge which led me to this home tour and a lighting combo that I’ve loved for years, but I’m not sure I’ve ever explicitly blogged about…

The classic ceiling medallion and the modern pendant. A glorious, glamorous, unexpectedly perfect combination if there ever was one. And now that I’m about to tackle some lighting in my new place, I have to say that I’m seriously debating this idea in the hallway…

The combo above features a gorgeous Lindsey Adelman pendant (dying) so I spent the morning dreaming up a few other pairings that are sure to please…

Do you have a favorite? I’m partial to the first one, but that third ceiling medallion is so insanely good – it has a bit of a brutalist feel to it that I love! There are plenty of options for the ceiling medallions at hardware stores and  places like Bellacor where I found all of these – some at very reasonable prices! A little detail that is so worth the update!

So beautiful! It’s a perfect way to add luxury to your home but that isn’t so expensive. I am really loving the second combo, it feels like it should belong in a castle or something.
