I remember when I first heard that Baz Lurhmann was recreating The Great Gatsby for the big screen – I was beyond excited. First of, the man is a visual genius, so you know that no matter what it’s going to be a spectacular overdose of glamour – from the sets to the costuming.

As if that weren’t enough, you add in a story itself that’s captivated us all for decades, and there’s really no excuse not to throw a Gatsby party, if only for the excuse to play a little dress up…

I’ve seriously been contemplating putting a fabulous fête together, and have had tons of ideas swirling in my head, but the best part of course, would be what to wear! Nothing but the very best sparkles would do…

Oh my gosh I actually doubt I’ve ever been so excited for a movie release. It’s just perfect: the soundtrack, the clothes, the actors…can’t wait!

And I’m avidly awaiting for that Vogue cover.
