WE ALL MARCH ON

While I’ve been known to declare February as my least favorite month (winter just seems to drag on and on around here) March may not be much better. It’s such a tease. Spring seems like it should be right around the corner, and yet…

This morning is grey grey grey. I’ll be meeting with my new interns in just a few hours to discuss upcoming Easter tabletops and spring fashion, but those sunny days feel like they’re so far off! Especially after two weeks of beautiful sunshine in South Africa. But it’s not just that…

The first week back from vacations are so hard for me. It takes quite a bit to get back into that go go go mode. And there’s always so much to do. The time off always makes me more cognizant of how much work it is to maintain a blog. And it’s consistently become more and more – there are higher expectations these days, and we bloggers are stretched thin between managing all our social media, the daily posts, photo shoots for original content, and of course working with sponsors to make it all possible to have an actual income to live off of. I guess, lately, I’ve been questioning how sustainable this is.

Maybe it’s the rain. Or the post-vacation perspective. Either way, I feel like there may need to be some changes around here to bring back the fun and the energy, and the reminder of what it is we all love about this space we get to create. I have a feeling a weekend off will be a very good thing for me right now… looking forward to beginning this month with some new goals and ideals come Monday!

Oh I love March, but I guess cause it is my bday month.
But it is super sunny and 75* here today so I totally have sunshine to brighten my mood.
I do miss being in a place where grey days happen and rain and snow come and go.
Hang in there. Soon enough it will be so hot and summer tablescapes will brighten all around you.
    Cheers

I love March! Not only is there college basketball tournaments, but its my birthday month! Yes, its icky here in the Seattle area this time of year, but I try to look foward to the random sunny days we do get this month. And there is always the breaking out some springtime dresses and shoes that make me happy.

Your blog is always full of such cheery remarks and lovely pictures…..maybe this is just post awesome trip-itis. Sunshine is just around the corner! Have a great weekend!

Sorry to hear that you are feeling down, but that usually means the next good thing is around the corner! Obviously summer is coming, but personally as well. Hang in there and imagine having it all – success, a sustainable income, a life – without the overwhelming go-go-go pace. You can! Re-evaluating is the first step to getting there. And you will get there!

Heartfelt thanks to you for all that you give to your followers. I know I speak for many when I say your content has brought me a much needed moment of levity on many a tough day.

You are an inspiration. I’m certain that you are constantly working to make your whole brand come off beautifully executed, and you really do succeed. All of that work comes off looking effortless, which is both a compliment and a curse, I’m sure. I imagine that people think that you’re job is just so much fun! And, I’m sure it is, but like anything, it is work, and it is a job, and it has it’s good points and bad points.

I hear that life is all about balance…something many of us struggle with. I hope you find your balance (without depriving all of us from your inspirational contributions!)

I love your honesty! We all struggle with the blahs, every single one of us! I work in the medical field and envy your creative and glamorous looking job! This post was a good reminder that even a creative self employed girl sometimes has doubts about the path she is on…

It is really hard to come to normal work days after a good vacation. Oh, I love the hair style, love the pics. I just hope i could be as pretty as that when I do that to my hair but I seriously doubt it because it wouldn’t match any of my clothes. Anyway whether it is March, Feb or any month I seem to be sad (Oh no, depression TT_TT).

It is my first time visiting this site and I am loving it :) Thanks
