Their product list reads like a who’s-who of women designers that I happened to be infatuated with. Eskayel. Jill Malek. RabLabs. Edie Parker. Kara Ross. Need I go on? Ok.
The site – Plum Alley – is aimed at promoting female-founded businesses doing fabulous things. Why? Because we all need a little help from our friends. But, also because women entrepreneurs make the world a better place. Don’t believe me? Check this out.
Them’s some convincing statistics if you ask me (you can click to make them larger). And, regardless of infographics, I like supporting other women. I’m not going to sit here and say we’ve all got it harder or something, but I do believe women carry a pretty tough struggle to balance life with family, friends, and obligations. So to the ones who are making an impact on design and business… I salute you. And with that… let’s talk about the best part of this site, shall we?
So much good stuff!! Well curated and edited – just how I like it. And if I don’t have that green console in my home asap, I might actually die.
The newest designers to join the bunch is a fabulous jewelry line Anzie (the bracelet, earrings and ring are all theirs). To quote their bio page, the mother-daughter trio are women that create for women. “Women that know that a typical day can involve taking responsibility for little lives in dirty diapers while running to meetings and work events…Versatility is important and we want to wear our jewelry every day.” Their pieces also happen to be stunning, and we to celebrate them joining the ranks of other fantastic women designers, we are giving away a pair of their topaz and moonstone earrings!
All you need to do to enter is head over to the Plum Alley site and sign up for their mailing list. It’s that easy. And, I can attest, theirs is one list you’ll actually want to be on. Good luck, and we’ll draw the winner at the end of the month!
