JUST THE TWO OF US

I suppose I’ve got weddings on the brain these days – between a few guest posts I’ve been working on and a few weddings of good friends coming up this spring, it’s hard to escape the excitement! And the chaos. Kind of like your actual wedding day, right? Which is why I’m loving this portrait session

The adorable couple (Tauri and Dylan) decided to schedule a little photo shoot a few weeks after their wedding, to capture some moments that they hadn’t been able to in the rush of the wedding day. A genius idea if you ask me.

Being able to choose a location with no time or distance restraints to capture some magical, meaningful portraits of just you and your husband seems like the perfect excuse to put on that dress again, and really take the time to relax and capture some intimate moments and beautiful details.

I love how these images take on a more moody, but serene look than their wedding day photos. Tauri’s look is also just a bit more dramatic in these, which really suits the scene. Can you imagine if you were able to redo your hair and makeup for a portrait session after the wedding? It could be totally different.

They’re absolutely gorgeous, right? I’m so in love with her dress too (made by her mother!). It has me imagining all the beautiful places around here that would be perfect for shooting something like this, but wouldn’t necessarily work for the wedding day. Where would you go that’s special to you?

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! a wonderful, old fashioned idea made modern by adding the groom and informal settings. Real emotion and love is felt in each frame without all the “hurry! hurry!” nervousness that happens on the day. Lovely post…

Wow…these are some beautiful shots and the location couldn’t be more perfect. Love her dress too and to have it made by her own mother is truly a cherishable item to keep for years. Truly magical, thanks for the post Cassandra!

Northern Tennessee would be spectacular! Think of these pictures and add fireflies! Sigh. These pictures are so gorgeous.
