It’s been a while since I had a summer full of weddings to plan for, but this year – out of the blue – there they were. Five of ‘em. Luckily, I’m a bridesmaid in one of them, which narrows down the dresses required down to four. Sure, I’ve got a couple fun little frocks in my closet that might (and will) do, but when a girl gets an excuse for a new dress… let the dreaming begin!
Ok, fine. I won’t wear this to your wedding and upstage everyone. Just know that I really really want to. But mostly, I just love the fun, whimsical nature of the piece, with that swingy shape and sheer paneling! Note to self. Sheer can be wedding appropriate. While this dress isn’t quite the same, it’s got some similar qualities that has me wishing I could afford to add it to my closet.
This dress is my idea of wedding perfection. Cap sleeve, flattering neckline, and great texture and sheen (which makes this neutral anything but). Not to mention, something this classic will get wear for years to come. And, before you ask, I have no idea who it is.
Coincidentally, a few of my weddings are either quite casual or in wine country, which (in my opinion) gives me the excuse to hunt for something a little more natural and gauzy – like this gorgeous linen. I could see this dress – made into something strapless up top – being the perfect piece. I’ve kind of been dying to have something long and flowy. Unique, beautiful, and … comfortable!
Which style would inspire your wedding guest pick?

i LOVE the last dress!
I have two weddings in the next month and luckily one I’m a bridesmaid for! The wedding in May I want a long & flowy dress too. Hopefully the weather will be warm by then too!! =)
loving that last dress!
wedding in wine country sounds like a good excuse for a vacation
I’d have to say the cap sleeve dress is more my style. It’s timeless, it’s a neutral colour, so really any other colour can be paired with it and it’s elegant for a lovely, simple summer wedding.
That beautiful belted dress is by Alma Aguilar!
THANK YOU!! i’ve been wondering who the designer was!
