ART AFTER MY HEART

Since being back from South Africa, I’ve been thinking more about art. While we were there, we spent a bit of time in some galleries, and it reminded me how much I’d love to start investing in some pieces again. When I first moved into my apartment, I spent hours favoriting pieces of art on Saatchi - this site is the best for discovering new artists across the world. So last night I went back on and explored some more….

I suppose we all fall in love with art for different reasons – for me I think half the time it comes down to color – its the one place in my home I don’t worry about will this match everything, or  how will it work in this room. This collection alone shows how diverse one person’s taste can be, and yet when I see all of them together somehow they just make sense. Right now the Pawel Mandreck piece is at the top of my list, followed by the Andrea Tonellotto. I rarely  like art that includes people, and this one, I love. I might just have to break down and buy it… please don’t beat me to it!

Art is one of those things that when it speaks to you…it just does and there’s nothing you can do to stop it. It’s not an area where you are supposed to be rigid. Love these pieces.
