My friends, I’m so excited to embark on this adventure today!! I know, I’ve talked about it a lot, but I honestly don’t think I’ve even scratched the surface of how amazing this is going to be. I feel insanely lucky to be experiencing this trip – and in a few weeks you’ll understand why. From the stunning accommodations, to the expert guides, and of course time spent immersed in the culture, this is going to be one for the books!
I’ve packed half my bag with a plethora of neutrals and the other with lots of brights because I know I’m gonna go through some color withdrawl during the safari portion of the trip! Most importantly, I’ve tucked an extra duffel into my bag so I can bring bag LOTS of goodies for everyone!
I will be updating my twitter and facebook, and of course my instagram the best I can, but I’m also gonna try and use this new Vine app a lot more while on the trip (you can find me there by searching for cassandra lavalle) Have you used it yet? The good vids take a bit of effort, but it’s pretty fun!
And then, of course, there’s this little thing called Fashion Week happening while I’m gone. You may recall that I was out of the country last time too! Miss Crissie Fuller will once again be taking over for me to capture all the action. You can expect some posts, tweets and instas from her! While I’m drowning in khaki, she’ll no doubt be rockin’ some sparkle. Thanks girl!

Get ready for your life to change. Africa is mind blowing. I’ve spent a fair amount of time there, and I can say that it stays with you forever. Go with an open heart and a willingness to change. Have an amazing time.
