Happy Friday, friends!! I don’t know about you, but this week really kicked my arse. While the beginning of a new year had me amped up for getting a lot of projects going, I may have gotten slightly ambitious. Between designing my dad’s new restaurant space, working on some upcoming shoots, hiring interns, restructuring coco+kelley, and prepping for upcoming travel… I’m on total overload. Which is why I’m counting down to happy hour today when my bestie, Miss Apartment 34 herself, gets into town!
I love my girlfriends – each for their own reasons – but I have to say that I feel seriously thankful for the one girl who has not only known me since the 6th grade, but understands me on every level, and can talk blogging and life for hours. What a gem. Tonight, we’re gettin’ the gang back together for some serious girl time.
Funny enough, my other oldest friend (who I’ve known since we were four!) is also arriving from NYC this weekend, and I can’t wait to get some one-on-one time with her on Monday, as we’ll be celebrating her upcoming nuptials with a bachelorette party in Miami at the end of the month!
It all makes me realize how much I miss some of the other ladies in my life. I wish we weren’t all so spread out. My heart is in NYC, Boston, LA, and San Francisco half the time. Girls, you know who you are.
Here’s to a happy weekend and best girlfriends!

Hi Cassandra! I loved this post so much because I know exactly how you feel! I went to college in Boston and my best friends (and old roomies for 6 years!!) still live there while I now live back home in California. We text and e-mail on the regular and my heart is with them all the time. I totally feel like we are our own gang. I hope you are having a really special time with your girls.

This is such a nice post. I have been in NYC for the past seven years and two of our little group are leaving soon. I have vowed to spend as much time with them as I can. It’s really special to have found such great friends. We are both very lucky.
