I think my mind is ready for a vacation south of the border… or at least south of this rain. I’ve been obsessing over natural linens and layered textiles in soft palettes that recall warmer weather and seaside vacations. Still cozy enough for winter, but inviting the spring, the only colors here are shades of brown and grey with hints of dusty roses and variations of peach…
Despite the use of traditional prints from all over the world (ikats, kilims and the like), there is a very Southwestern/boho vibe going on here. The palette (recalling the 90′s) reminds me of something Georgia O’Keefe would have painted. Stick a skull or a desert vista in there and we’re right on target!
So when I recently discovered that a bunch of the new additions to West Elm’s rug and pillow selection included this same vibe, I was pretty inspired. Never has a ‘get the look’ been so easy!
With the addition of a few more pillows from other designers, these prints and patterns mix and match quite nicely, dontcha think? I especially love it with the addition of a rich, rusty brown!

Great finds! I go back and forth between loving bright colors and being drawn to more muted ones. So many great patterns in this style, too, that I think would be very easily layered.
We just returned from Colorado so this post is so fitting for me right now…love this look!
Loving this color combination.
LOVE IT!

Love that palette and your selection of pillows and rugs is perfect. J’adore le Ikat Square Pillow !
I mean!!… how gorgeous is that?
I love this color palette, and mix of prints of course. I think these soft colors make it easier to mix in bolder patterns together.
This is so great. I love how all the color mix. They are really subtle and muted. They would be so relaxing in a living environment. Those stripe pillows are divine!
