You didn’t think we could talk holiday entertaining this week without discussing proper hostess attire, now did you? Well, good, because this shoot is bursting with some big ideas and a special treat from Bauble Bar too!
As you may or may not know, when it comes to dressing up for the holidays, I like to go big or go home! So, when playing hostess, you better believe I’m likely to go a bit over the top. So with a little inspiration from the likes of Mrs. Claus and White Christmas… I bring you the Hostess with the Mostess ensemble!
Nothing says Northwest girl like a flannel… but pair it with sparkle and tulle, and you’ve got a seriously classic holiday outfit on your hands!!
I love any excuse to kick up my heels and twirrrrrrlllll!!!
Not to mention an occasion to layer on loads of rhinestones…
Which reminds me… have you heard of the Buried Baubles from Bauble Bar? They’ve having 20 days of insane deals on some fabulous gems, and every day a new bauble and a new clue is brought to you by another editor. And, today (lucky #13!) is moi! So here’s your clue…
If you’re looking for some studly earrings, these chevron gems will be topping your wishlist! (Seriously guys, it couldn’t be any more obvious – and I fully intend on purchasing the black ones!)
Hooooray for holiday dressing!! (I pretty much never want to wear anything else ever!!)

I looooooove that shirt, was hesitant to get it but I love the way you styled it! Perfection!
Umm yeah keep the skirt. You make it look better than the model on the anthro site. Hott stuff lady! Great to meet in your town
Wow, you look great! The jewelry is gorgeous, love it! Where did you get that fab square wreath? Do tell… Beth
http://www.chicandglamorous.com
the wreath i bought locally at Ravenna Gardens! any florist would be able to get boxwood and make this up for you easy though!
This tutu skirt is killing me. So pretty! Paring it with a plaid blouse is what I call being creative! Nicely done.
Oh my gosh Cassandra, you are the cutest thing ever! This might be my favorite holiday style post I’ve seen all season!
I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE your entire ensemble. I’ve pinned and twitted it. Indeed the perfect holiday host costume. And so perfect that you get to feel like a ballerina all the while.
LOVE your blog.
Jah
I love this outfit! Seeing as though checked flannel shirts are practically the national costume of male Australians, I think I could borrow something from the boys and make it my own with a twist
