I’ve been in NYC this week celebrating a few things (like Christmas – hello gorgeous tree lighting last night!) but the main reason for my trip was a wonderful little event on Tuesday evening at Dering Hall where I was invited to launch my very own storefront!!
A collaboration between co-founders Steven Gambrel and Peter Sallick, Dering Hall is an online marketplace where anyone can shop high-end furnishings and home accessories that were previously hard to find or to-the-trade offerings. You will find some of the best interior designers, artisans, and design dealers on here! As for my little shop – I’ve curated a selection of my favorite pieces from some of my favorite people…
When Dering Hall first came to me to ask about curating a storefront for their site, I was mildly confused. “You know I don’t actually create product, right?” I said to them, wondering if they had the wrong idea. Turns out they had a great idea: inviting editors to create their own spaces on Dering Hall as a way to showcase pieces and designers that are important to them.
It may look like a random mix of styles, but each designer I’ve selected has a great story behind them and have become wonderful friends of mine as well. Curated from Cuff Home, Brackish (a new local Seattle design team!), Empiric, and Dunes & Duchess each bring something unique to the storefront. And as you can already see from the few selections above, there’s glamorous, industrial, mid-century and traditional all in one space!
I’m thrilled to be a part of the Dering Hall site, and I hope you’ll take some time to check out the shop and explore the offerings of other designers too! A huge thank you to Steven and Peter for including me in this wonderful project – it was an honor to stand next to you both this week to introduce this new addition to coco+kelley.
