I’ve always been a huge fan of the term ‘glamping’ for a way to describe upscale camping style. And it occurred to me… why can’t this idea translate to fashion as well? It fits my glamorous + northwest vibe just perfectly. I think I’ll be practicing this pairing with some of my winter sparkle this season…
Finding a way to keep sequins and beading casual during the day is an art form, and especially useful when packing for weeks like this one where I’m in NYC running from meetings to events! Taking a utility piece (like a jacket or bag) to play down the giltz and glamour during daylight hours, and swapping out for something a little more classic for evening keeps things easy!!
My favorite way to do it might be doing a monochromatic mix – it keeps the two totally different styles feeling cohesive!

Cute idea! I’ve been dying to go glamping – I love camping but as I get older I am more attached to those creature comforts.

i like this idea. not actual glamping (not a fan of camping. don’t care if it’s fancy. haa.)… but paring down sequins with utility.
Ahh..In love with the idea, as long as I could bring my camera
Love your blog!

Love the gold sequins clutch!
Glamping is the best!! I love seeing the baroque sweater paired with just any ol’ jacket or any sort of army green or camo with something sparkly! You’ve inspired my outfit for tomorrow—chic leather pencil skirt, glam heals and a camo sweater vest. Thanks!
I’ve never heard of this term, but I really like it!
I also really like the ensembles it is referring to! xoxo
Awesome idea!
I’m posting about glamping right now! I wish I would have looked this chic while I was doing it.
I love this…Glamping! What a great idea!!
That sequin clutch and striped shirt are so cute! Would love to wear any of this
Glam camping…now that’s something I could do.
If you’re looking for a place to wear the latest in “Glamping” fashions, visit The Resort at Paws Up in Montana. Their tents are outrageously lux, with huge bathrooms and camping butlers. Very camping chic.
