LIFE THROUGH WINDOWS

The rain and gray of Seattle fall finally found us this weekend, and I have to say it was a nice excuse to stay in after so much travel lately. I love the change of seasons from summer to fall. There’s something so moody, cozy, and real about it. If summer is chick lit, then fall is Bronte (which I much prefer). Not to mention boots and scarves and butternut squash ravioli (which I made last night) and spending time in coffee shops while the rain pounds down on the windows. Which makes me think…

Maybe my next photo shoot should be completely through windows. (My photographer will hate me, but oh well…)

It seems to capture that very feeling of fall, don’t you think?

A little mysterious and cold, and only enhanced by the reflected scenery outside (which Seattle has plenty of). I think it makes for some beautiful images. So, my friends, here’s to staying inside this week! I’m embracing it for all it’s worth.

Loved this post! You captured fall so well with sitting inside a coffee shop listening to the rain, chic lit vs. Bronte, etc. … and I never realized but yes, looking through windows outside does remind me an awful lot of the change in seasons!

This is SO SEATTLE. I love it. I love how cozy coffee shops feel and look when it’s gray outside. And now I want butternut squash ravioli. Bring it to me. NOW. :)
