What kind of party does a girl who can’t seem to take more than a week of from travel or a day off from work throw? A pajama party of course!!
When I flew home last week from North Carolina… after having just been in Boston. And before that New York… I knew I wanted to have a little birthday party with my girlfriends, but there was no way I was gettin’ dressed up for a night on the town. Nope, this girl wanted nothing to stay in her pajamas and drink champagne. And so we did!
I couldn’t let this be just any PJ party though (of course not!). I wanted to throw a party that indulged the 12-year-old in me as well as the 32-year-old in me – which meant a little luxury and a little sparkle!
Thanks to the Pan Pacific Hotel, we were given the gorgeous Denny Suite for an entire evening, with sweeping views of the Seattle skyline, and some of the best service I’ve ever experienced. Every guest was greeted with their own insanely soft set of pajamas from Eberjey for the night, a glass of champagne, and a buffet of junk food and crafts!
Every sleepover needs a good party favor for guests to take home with them. I loved the idea of everyone getting to decorate their own sleeping masks to keep – it was so fun to see the personalities of each guest come out!
Then of course, came the pampering… because you can’t have a slumber party without painting nails and doing braids!
We set up a braid bar, a station for manis with a fab assortment of Deborah Lippmann polish, and a little paraffin dip and massage area provided by Vida Spa for all the girls to experience. And after all that? Well, it was time to cut the cake, sit back and enjoy the rest of the evening…
You all want to have your own grown-up slumber party now this weekend, huh?

This may be the best idea for a party ever! I think I may steal it. There is seriously nothing more indulgent than being comfortable and hanging with a group of friends.
