ROOM OF THE WEEK :: 9.6

I feel like we’ve been lacking a dose of glamour around here lately. Maybe it’s because I feel like so many glamorous rooms I see these days are just a little too much. Not this one.

I love how this space gives each piece room to breathe. Each accent is clearly noted – architecturally stunning vintage chairs, organic wood accent tables, super simple soft furnishings, and a rug that takes center stage. I also think the touches of black (mostly in the artwork) add such depth to the design. In fact, the artwork is really what caught my eye in the first photo – so impactful! And the chaise subtly separates the seating areas just perfectly, creating a little moment of its own paired with that adorable sheep (I love!).

I know this room isn’t realistic for the majority of us, but what do you think? Just the right amount of glamour and detail for you?? All the elements here are really working for me!

The first picture is just breathtaking. I think it’s the artwork, the plush sofa and the black cushion that draws the attention first, or the color combination of them to be precise.
While I wouldn’t exactly go and buy some of the pieces (uncomfortable chairs, tiger cushions and rug – sorry) the total look is perfect. I’d say it’s eclectic (masculine + feminine + luxury + contemporary + simple + bold + mix of materials + texture).
My favorites are the INSTANT, the plush lounger and the central wooden table.
    Thanks for sharing!

Gorgeous! Reminds me of some I’ve just seen in “Canadian House & Home.” I could hardly put the magazine down..have you seen the “Plum Room???” franki
