OFFICE INSPIRATION :: JENNA LYONS

As if her genius stylings at j.crew and in real life weren’t enough, now we can all covet her office too.

The creative force that is Jenna Lyons always inspires, and I have to say that in searching for inspiration for my own office, hers is at the top of the list! What’s more amazing, is that it would be fairly easy to recreate…

I like the idea of the desk actually providing a pop of color (perhaps I can find one in kelly green?) and the rest of the space being fairly neutral. When your’e surrounded by inspiration boards and artwork, you don’t need a lot of pieces mucking it up. The creative mind needs room to breathe! I like the addition of a few vintage pieces, and replacing traditional filing cabinets with a big chest like this one (a much more affordable option than those gorgeous suitcases).

We’re actually moving a few pieces into the new office space today, and once those are in, I’ll be ready to start really pulling it together! I can’t wait to have a new creative space to work in – and of course share with you all!

    I love her office. I remember reading somewhere that she said she chose the pink top colour of her desk because it gave a nice reflection on her face. It’s so true pink tones always make people look refreshed. Now I wonder what a Kelly green desk will do…
    Hope you share some pics!
